EA's new map

EA has out of the blue released a new map for Battlefield 2 titled "Highway Tampa". Here's what they had to say about this new content:

Through a collaborative effort Intel and EA DICE are rolling out a new Battlefield map for players to battle on. Highway Tampa is a vehicle focused map that offers a game experience similar to classic 1942 desert warfare. Explore this stretch of the Arabian Peninsula in your choice of vehicle and work with your team mates to conquer the map for your team. Download the beta, join in the servers, and drive, fly, and destroy your way to victory. Then drop by the EA forums and let us know what you think. Also keep your eyes to the future as this stretch of desert will see combat across two generations of Battlefield.

That "new" EA's map is basically an old one from 2005, which never got into the game...someone probably found it, when they were throwing the BF2 stuff out of their offices

On the topic of the World in Conflict video, it looked so life like... It was like a movie... Also, what was with the American soldier holding up the United States Flag at about 1:17? This isn't the Civil War...

Had a look at it and I would describe this Tampa map as "uninspired" because I am in a generous mood.

The only reasons EA released this map is because of two things.

Intel paid them.
The ex-dice members saying no more patches were planned.

but a new patch IS planned...
