[Vehicle] Gazelle [wip]

Hi!
I'm working on a gazelle at this moment. But right now i have a small problem ( i'm going to send better wip pics later)
In this picture you can see that i only have primitive faces if you watch the lines. But as you can see the faces still look "smooth". And that distrubs me!
I stared modelling doing lines and the put a Surface modifier with 0 Patch Topology steps. After that i converted it to Editable Poly. Sometimes I cant see after that the vertex's, but the main problem is the "smoothness". Do you got any ideas?
P.s all the vertex's are Corners.

Yo! I got this thread updated. Here's a better wip picture.
Any suggestions?

I thought we already have DICE made Gazelle ?
If you enjoy modeling chopers , you may do UH-1 for Marines , as they don't use MD-6 irl ...

I thought that they dont use uh-1 anymore.

The dice gazell is what the MEC use as a scout/light gunship and its ****, and if i remember right the GB forces use this as a scout ship?(might be going out of service though).

Yea think british use the gazelle, sure i saw one on TV. Best thing i remember about them was from Desert combat they where awesome in that. Think brits could also do with a light chopper to drop troops off, esp for inner city drop offs on basrah would be good fun.

Yes the british do use the Gazelle it isnt main stream across all the forces just in the British Army, as for a light chopper for the brits am still peggin for the lynx, its as british as ya get
The US as far as i know dont use the UH-1 anymore, if they do it is in a limited/specialized role

Actually, the Marines still use the UH-1N.

If you are refering to my post, what makes you think im trying to fool you?

Ofcourse, there is that lifelong satisfaction you get from knowing you told someone the most worthless of lies that has no impact on the world or them.

The use the UH-1N (Bell 212, also used by British army and some nations that would probubly be in the MEC) and UH-1Y (Venom - new model of huey to compliment the AH-1Z SuperCobra). The huey line is still the main light utility helo for the USMC and will be for the foreseeable.
But anyway, a Gazelle scout bird would be great for the brits, especially with the ability to designate targets. It usually flys unarmed, however and isnt used as a troop transport (though it can carry 2 crew + 3 passengers, so it might be handy for inserting SLs).
The lynx would be a better all rounder for the brits, but if designation can be got to work I'd love to see the Gazelle in a airborne FAC role.

Lol @ the thread getting waaaay off topic!
On topic:
Have you checked the smoothing groups? Thats the only thing I can think of: you assigned the whole model to the same smoothing group.

If you were using blender I could help you in a second. In blender there is a tool that lets you grab any vertex and "make it sharp". It looks like you have the entire model subsurfed. Thats only good for organic stuff. There has to be something like that for your model. I'll look around to see if I can find anything. If possible you should download blender (its free) and try some models with that. i find it alot easier than 3ds max or its big brother maya, alot cheaper too!

but if the brits gets the LYNX the US should really get a UH-1Y "Huey", right ? fair is fair.. i want the HUEY !! lol

Like Jay said, its a smoothing group error. Max has given automatic groups for your object.
Choose select polygon (shortcut key 4) or element (5) mode and go to polygon properties. There are sine options for smoothing groups.
Usually auto smooth option works quite well for WIPs.

Ah, thanks Jay and väiski. Now I can continue again modelling with relaxed mind... mmmmm...
I think I try modelling this gazelle first as a practice and later try to make buildings to bf2 ingame.
