The Su-39 (also known as the Su-25T or Su-25TM) is a Frogfoot variant incorporating post-Afghanistan lessons-learned. It is based on the Su-25UB two-seat trainder, with the rear seat and cockpit replaced with a fuel cell and extra avionics.

I think it would be cool if this plane were added. It is widely used by Russian forces and versions of it have been around since the late 70s. Since the MEC is basically Arabic Russia, I think it would fit in. The Su-25/39 is a tankbuster similar to the American A-10 Warthog. It has a powerful main gun capable of shredding tank armor and can also carry a wide array of bombs and missiles.

i would love to see it simply as an excuse to bring in the A-10 as a counter

You have to say - as a rival to the A-10, the Su-39 definately LOOKS the part at least. I think it's a great idea, however in order to keep balances right, but realism included, how do the weaponloads compare on these two aircraft? Great suggestion!

the only thing im not sure about is the gun i duno what the '39's is like other than that A-10 you could have dumb bombs clusters or manericks and from that pick of the '39 it looks like a similar loadout

It's a 30mm twin-barrel cannon firing the same ammunition as the BMP-2 (and the Su-27 and MiG-29). Doesn't have a large capacity, though.

Su-25T is the best version, Su-39 is Su-25T marketed for export.

its main weapon is the vikhr AT missile system, those 2 sets of 8 AT rockets above, like a super hellfire sort of thing. the gun isn't the main weapon, i think PR would do this well, if you somehow translated the AT missiles system effectivley into the BF engine, without making it an auto whore

It also has missiles designed specifically for destroying radar stations.

Man, I would love to see both planes in the game.

The frogfoot was the only reason i played DC.
