How about a handheld gps instead of the minimap. a gps that is in real time.
And get rid of the map. Or a map that does not show anything but a map nothing in real time. When i mean by real time no showing friendlys or enemy. Only way to show is if a squad call on the main radio were there postion is when a commander is online and will accept the message to get push through.
there was more suggestion in this post then what i put in the title

damm i did do a search on GPS nothing came up sorry for the resuggestion.
Then my suggestion is that we add a feature were sqaud leader will call out its postion on the map, And it will be pass through the commander and if the commander accepts it the other sqaud will see on the map.

Not his fault. GPS is too short of a term to search for.

Leave the minimap. I am of the opinion that making this fine mod overly realistic will just cause it to suck.
Imagine waiting at the airport on Basra for 10 minutes for some sort of vehicle to spawn and then driving around in the desert or city looking for your squad (you can't spawn near him or at a rally point) only to be killed by someone who has been camping a bridge with C4 for the last 20 minutes while arguing about how horribly represented the coaxial machine gun on Warrior is. Then you wait 5 minutes to respawn and repeat the process but this time you fall five feet, injure yourself, and bleed out due to the BF2 engine and the lack of a medic who was also driving around the desert. He can't revive people anymore anyway.
