How Sniper Weapons Are Advancing....

I really think this is getting out of hand a wee bit, people complained that the RPG and Heavy AT were being used as more or less as a sniper weapon but now with the extended scope for the Tanks and APC's it's just getting a bit too much.
The scopes need to be brought back a bit, its a pain in the arse that they can pick you off from a million miles away, and before you say it i know in Real Life they can do it but you still need to be able to balance it up for a computer game.
Your Thoughts?

Maybe you should bring armor or airsupport?

I've noticed in .6 (with the large maps) that I do a lot less actual fighting, and more just moving around the battlefield with binoculars. I rarely fire a weapon and spend entire rounds moving around and trying to point out armor or troops.
I'm not sure if thats the direction of gameplay I enjoy. For me at least, the realism has hit a point where it's just like real life...hours upon hours of boredom with a few minutes of extremely intense excitement.

Christ, stop playing 0.5...
0.6 Heavy AT: No 2x zoom and 20 seconds delay, before firing it, no more shoot-switch weapon-reload&shoot again to avoid 20 seconds reload time...

an A-10 or SU-25 can take out 4 tanks in about 30seconds, i think it's fairly balanced.

Are you complaining about the RPG? Me and my squad took out a Warrior and two Land Rovers on Basrah today with one RPG'er and some clever hit-and-run tactics.

every thing in .6 is a lot more balenced than in .5
most things are to be feared especially if tackled alone
add in squad controlled assets and jobs a good one.

That is how the devs want to play the game. Hell Egg even said these changes will alienate some of the people who liked 0.5, which still at times felt far to arcade like. 0.6 has taken one more step towards realism with making armor to be feared rather than just air support. Tanks should never have been a walk in the park to kill. Now they are not. Rambo players will be left behind where as those that love team work will strive forward.
This change is making PR better and better.

Jets > Tanks > Infantry. Simple as that.

The image of love most is what I call " sand people plinking " on kashan when little dots poke up over a far ridge and you pop off 10rounds from the coax.
The best times are when they don't talk to each other and every five minutes there is another wave of sand people to plink off the ridge.
It's a simple, time tested rule.....if the enemy is in range, so are you.

I'll admit I am a ground pounder at heart. I like the action of infantry firefights vs. air or armour.
The first few times I played Kashan I was bored. I thought, this map just doesn't have anything for infantry to do. My problem was that you can't play this map as a soldier on foot it's a map requiring mobility and transportation to work. The other thing I noticed was that there were allot of tanks not being used at any one time. I was able to grab a tank on a regular basis on this map, something that I could never do on other PR maps. I quickly found that if I switched my playing style for this map to using armour or transport vehicles I enjoyed it allot. The tank fun on this map is huge, I love to "reach out and touch someone" with the view distance on this map

I have more kills via tank on this map in a few weeks time vs. all my other time in a tank before, the only thing I fear now is death from above (I still need to work on taking out jets with my main gun

)
