so now that we have 5 ton trucks in the game, and we have had the static AA guns {you know, the one with 4 gun barrels} for a while now, i was wondering if maybe we could have a 5 ton truck with an AA gun placed in the back of it, just for insurgents and milita. kind of like a really big technical. I KNOW this has been done in real life, its not that hard really for a rag tag insurgents force to jerry rig something like this. it would be great in say Al Basrah, maybe just put 1 in that takes a long time to respawn. It would be great for taking down apaches, and really great for mowing down infantry and light vehicles. it would fill in a nice gap between the standard technical and the T 62 as far as firepower is concerned.

i dont think this would be THAT hard to model because both the models of the truck and the AA gun already exist so i think it would just mainly require coding. but then again i dont know ive never modded.

again, because i know some people are gonna think this is ridiculous, this HAS been done many time in real life, i know that the somalis have been making trucks like this for years. heres a pic

Plus it will give Jets a chance to get away as these trucks have no heat sinking missiles which will be funner for pilots like my self

yeh i agree it seems every faction has some sort of AA vehicle thats movable cept for militia/insurgent... would be nice to see sumthin like a pickup truck with an SAM in the bed

i think a truck with a sam in the back would be a little too advanced for insurgents. maybe not a militia like hezbollah, but i dont think iraqi insurgents wont be getting any legit sams other than shoulder fired variety.

A big *** five ton truck with a good sized anti-aircraft gun on the back would get spotted as easily as your typical light armored AA vehicle.

yes it would get spotted easily, but it can also move. albeit not very fast, but it would just another realistic element to the game. not to mention if it was spotted by a chopper, well the truck can defend itself too.

Hay I'm looking at the positives here and yay i guess it would but it be cool as to be on the AA gun at the back of the truck.Make it like a Bedford if someones gonna make this model

No jets on any Militia/Insurgent maps, as far as I know

Well maybe when they build this model there might be a Militia/Insurgent map for this model or even just add that model with a few copters on the opposition team on a already made map , this could be a nice idea for 0.6
