Now that the Norwegian military is switching from the G3 to the HK416, I decided that I wanted to make one. So a little bit of remodelling of my M733, and this is the result so far:



Note that it's not even near complete. It hasn't got the finished rails, buttstock, forward assist or sights.

Have the Norwegians given a designation to their HK416s yet? Also are you getting carbine and rifle varients or just carbines?

@ Lampshade: Dunno, they'll probably get different barrel lengths for different uses. Can't remember reading anything about it, though. They did order Aimpoints to go with them, however. And no official designation as of now. They'll start switching from the G3 (we call it AG-3) to the '416 late this year or early/middle '08.

And to all you e-penis-size-comparers, the Norwegian Special Forces get compliments from U.S. and British special forces operating with them in Afghanistan, so they're not half bad either.

Err...heh. It seems Max has taken to crashing every time I try to edit the model. I'll try and reboot the 'puter and see if it helps. Or maybe I'll just postpone the modelling for later. I need to clean out my car, and I just found out that it's got a scratch on the back, right behind the left rear wheel, which will cost me about 300 £ to fix up. So I'm not really in the mood for modelling right now...



EDIT: All right then. I've been working a little on the buttstock.

Even I need some time off.

But I'm getting there. Except for the T65, almost all the models are done. Just some small things remaining, like the forward assist on the M733 and the sight for the M203. So I let myself play around a little.
