I agree that it is a pain in the arse when the enemy grabs your equipment. how ever i believe that the system is in place so that teams / players value the limited kit much more. the player that only wants a sniper kit will have a hard time if he loses his rifle, thus his whole team will suffer if they keep getting picked off by their own weapons.

Well, there are no Javelins in-game. But other than that, I still don't like this idea. You should be careful when using limited kits. If you're using something extremely important, such as the Eryx, than make sure you have a couple riflemen providing security.

sorta like the above:
only some limited kits such as HAT, MANPADs, maybe sniper, and A-((if it were to happen))-LIMITED SF KIT should "dissapear" because they do require especially special training to use.
is it possible to code it so you can only pick up an enemy special limited kit (those above) if you have your team's corresponding kit?
otherwise, if you lose your team's limited kit (grenadier, support, marksman)-which are all team assets-you deserve to have no more access to that kit if the enemy takes it
i also believe this has been discussed b4 but not as specifically as i have in this post

If youn snooze you lose, be more careful, dont lose your kits and have support. If you still lose it, well good job by the enemy.

I think this is a bad idea. Since when do kits disappear in real life?
Okay you might say that insurgs dont know how to use the jav, well maybe they might not be able to figure it out. But that only applies to that one weapon. All of the other weaps, its as simple as pulling the trigger.

I say that there should be reduced accuracy/increased deviation using another enemies weapons!
Not sure how the javelin fires, but an enemy trying to use my old Milan post would no doubt be slamming missiles into the ground 25ft in front of him unless he knew exactly how to use the reticule system!

I hear that not dieing helps in keeping your kit. Is this true? The way its set up now is just fine. Stop getting killed with your precious sniper kit.

Seconded. And feel that lead...*****!
Maybe reduced accuracy would be a realistic element though.

in americas army, if you pick up an enemy weapon you get decreased accuracy to simulate not having the training on the weapon.

If you die with your sniper kit sniping isnt for you, if you die on AL BASRAH with a sniper kit please never use a scoped weapon again and only use the pistol.
If you loose your kit tough sh*t its your own fault.

So true.
If you die using a Merlin on Basrah, please also note; you were not born to fly.

If the AT gunner goes down next to you and there's an angry tank gunner pouring lead in your general direction, you're sure as hell gonna pick that launcher up and turn the tank into an expensive piece of scrap metal. Unfortunately, I find that teammates do not pick your limited kit up often enough, but the possibility should be there. Having a weapon die with its operator is just stupid, and hurts the entire squad.

Too bloody right. You loose it, you deserve to be shot in the face with it.
