It's some kind of bug if I remember right and you might have to re install.
Wait until someone smarter posts before doing that though.
This has happened before and there might be another way to fix it.

reinstall PR or BF2 or both. try just reinsgalling PR first, if that dont work, uninstall all of BF2, and all of its mods, then reinstall them all again.

I had that too earlier today. I was doing some shooting in my apc, standing on the bridge, when I get blown up by a boomcar. My score went below 0, and then I got kicked.

It's happened to me a couple times before, no biggie unless it happens often.

Thats a double post and also above would be called a negative score kick..happened to me

Well, I've had negative scores below like that one without getting kicked, I didn't do anything to deserve it as far as I can tell, and I got the same message as expendable grunt

Well, apparently I'm not the only one as about 30 mins after I rejoined people started dropping off the server left and right, and minutes after that I lost connection.

It's a conspiracy ......EA is to blame.... I have seen the secret diaries....

I got that with the bf2.exe instead of the clientarchives. A manual update of Punkbuster solved it for me.
