Make a LAN server with the map you want and type "sv.numPlayersneededtostart 1" into console.

You can also go to this directory: \Battlefield 2\mods\pr\python\game,
backup this file "realityconfig.py" and change "realityconfig_test.py" to
"realityconfig.py". Then make a LAN server.
You will have no spawntime, no waiting time between requesting kits etc., but don't forget to change it back before playing online again.

Actually, I don't believe you have to change it back. That's the server settings file, so it doesn't affect the client in any way. I have my settings permanently set to debug, since I never actually play the game on a local LAN server, and I have no problems.
If you join a server, the server's realityconfig.py determines its behavior, your client has no influence over it.

If changing filenames is something you dont want to do, just follow the console-related command that bosco gave you. If you do change filenames, you need to change them back if you plan on being a host. If you plan to join a server, the settings do not affect you. Just in case, you enter the console with the tilde key (~)

Go to a non-ranked server in vanilla BF2 and start shooting noobs there.
