Binoculars for tank commander

Driver and gunner have optical zoom which is nice. It would be neat, though, if the tank commander also had a way of scouting for enemies with binoculars. That would seem prudent. I realize this might be technically different to implement, but one solution could be to add a fourth position to the tank which had the binoculars. It would not be possible for the tank commander position and binocular positions (three and four) to be in use simultaneously.

this has been remedied in 0.6 with the tank commander controling the tank from a periscope ontop of the tank that has a zoom function. the gunner also has zoom on his sites. also most kits now have binoculars.
seeing as you already no this i dont quite now what your asking, when the tank commander already has a very powerful zoom function

No, what the OP is referring to is the 50. cal cupola gunner, I would presume. I think R-DEV Eggman said something about trying to implement exactly what you said. Try searching in the Beta forums.

Yep my idea was to make a fourth position in the Abrams, since it has 2 entries on the turret, and only one of them is used in BF2.
The only problem is; The T90 and Type98 tanks don't have a second gunner on the turret...
