are you guys planning on making any big British conflicts against the PLA/MEC?
somewhat on the scale of kashan, you know with the whole nine yards, planes tanks, helos and infantry?
probably wouldn't see anything like this until you finish the Typhoon or Harrier but can i suggest a map based around a highway?
maybe surrounded by the lush jungles of china or the desolate arid landscape of iraq, I do know that Iraq has a very nice highway system that might make for some good challenger v. T-90 battles with infantry fighting in a little walled villige, to recreate the infantry only zone in kashan. I just sketched out a little map with features i'd like to see in a British "mega-map"



The British start in a typical, walled base with vehicles, jets and the like.
The British AAS objectives are like this

1. Capture Checkpoint
2. Defend Checkpoint and capture Fields/Village
3. Capture Palace
4. Capture Abandoned Airfield (MEC BASE)

The MEC would Start in an Abandoned Airfield the base would be rustic and worn down, the Runway would also be destroyed by coalition air forces in the early days of the war, their first job would be to repair the runway so air support can arrive. the base would have some craters/destroyed buildings etc. but would have similar equipment to the British (same number of MBTs, APCs etc.) the MECs AAS objectives would be like this

1. Capture Palace
2. Defend Palace, Capture Fields/Village
3. Capture Checkpoint
4. Capture British Main

I would foresee most of the fighting occurring between the oasis and the village, Challengers would be firing from the oasis and the T-90s would be firing from gaps in the village's walls.

anyways the key features i'd like to see an a large scale british map are

• Highway
  Armored Fury had the right idea, just not enough players.
• BIG
• Village (close quarters fighting zone)
• some form of abandoned airfield for the MEC
  If the MEC was a real Military group i think they would try something like this, Repair a former Iraqi Airfield and have Iranian Fighters land and then use them to disrupt coalition air superiority over a small area to give ground forces an advantage.

in short i want a bigger playground to play with my new toys

I am sure they will make some larger operations once they get the Challenger 2 in the game.

Does it have Militia in it? Looks like its based in Russia...

It's fun though, we had rallies across the map. It took me like 15 minutes to drive across.

Are you looking at more a 0.7 or 0.8 release?

I'd love it if a kashan sized helmand province was made with the brits starting at one of their bases and the insurgents starting in the mountains because atm the map is kinda close range compared to RL in helmand its long range.

well id like to see some sort of 2003 invasion map, but with two carriers and a kuwaiti base or something, which could be followed on by al basrah.

or maybe redisgn the carrier so that it has the same internals (dont need any more really) but so the flight deck is wider

I can see MEC v. Insurgents, but i don't think we'll see a China v. MEC for a long time, plus their would be too many friendly fire accidents, as they all use mostly Soviet equipment. why would china be fighting a middle eastern faction if they're fighting the US too?
isn't that counter-productive?

well the mec is fighting brits Americans and soon to be Canadians! so most factions are fighting one another so why not have a china desert map with them fighting a mec whats so wrong with that or china fighting insugrents/rebels there is more then one insurgent faction faction in the world why not have china fighting them in some place like Kazakhstan!


P.S. they are fighting Mec because they need more oil to fight both the us and the brits who are both fighting mec for more oil to fight china militia and insureds

I'm sure China's economy could provide them with enough money to buy oil from the MEC.

Heh, then once the Russians come into play for PR then we might see Russia vs USA... Like, World in Conflict, though that game takes place in the late eighties...
