Chinese body armor...

After doing some research at my friends house(to settle an argument and lets just say i won

) i have found out that most of the Chinese military
DOES NOT Use body armor. Only SF units and swat style police get them in mass, the regular army gets nothing. Turns out all those pics of PLA soldiers with what seems to be armor is in fact just a tactical vest to hold gear. So i guess this is more of a question then a suggestion but will you guys take away the chinese armor health points or w/e??? Making it easier to kill them of course.
PS----I forget my sources so i will do some research real quick but i would like it if some of you guys look up some info too.

I think it is safe to say we are not going to remove body armor from the PLA troops for loads of reasons.

Yeah after thinking about it for a bit i figured as much. It would be way to cheap and easy for the other team to win. Remove this thread then.

The QBZ-95 is not yet issued across the board, only to the PLA's and PLAM's best units. Thier SF, if you want to put it that way

The Chinese may not have body armour but they have the mighty horde bonus.

I heard the PLA is about 300 million men so their "spec ops" troops would be as large as most countries armies wouldn't it ?

Do the chinese get to spawn in larger numbers?

Maybe PLA should have a 20 second spawn timer, like Insurgents to simulate no body armor and a larger force.

They wouldn't use the same tactics as the insurgents though, Insurgents would sue them for plaigerism.

Or maybe we accept the fact that the troops represented in PR are the elite units of the PLA, armed and equipped with the best Chinese Military Technology has to offer.
The Current PLA forces in PR represent just that. Thier tank is the Type 99, while 2/3s of the PLA's armoured units are still equipped with the Type 59 (a copy of the T-55) and modernised variations of it.
The Troops in PR represent the PLA's crack units tooled up with the latest equipment.

Well, Insurgents have the shorter spawn to simulate a large force.
Having shorter spawn times doesnt mean, that PLA can go VBIED now, they would still have their armor and vehicles...
Then again, Im only suggesting, doubt, Devs would want it this way...
But hey, maybe then people would want to play PLA more...

Did you get that from Command & Conquer: Generals? I know the devs won't take away the body armor from the PLA soldiers because of balancing issues but here's an idea, how about take away their armor and give the PLA soldiers a shorter spawn time? This shows the many numbers of the PLA. Perhaps this happens, each army can have pros/cons, advantages/disadvantages, etc...
Edit: Okay, apparently this was just suggested a few minutes ago. Didn't the see the previous posts before this one.

probably better to leave the no body armour but shorter respawn time to the insurgents

actually the whole world don't even have 300 million troops
PLA only has a bit over 2 million troops

OK
But at 2 million plus they should be able to field a division of high tech modern troops.

If what Bob_Marley is saying is the situation then they would not be as large in numbers hence would not recieve the shorter spawn bonus. I know your not suggesting this but I just thought I would comment before someone runs with this.

The mod is based on a fictionalized war in the future, so its safe to say that PLA regulars will be more generously equiped in the future, especially when you consider how much money is being pumped into the military budget.

Indeed, the PLA is currently cutting raw numbers and improving training and equipment to make its self a more modern and flexible force. Its currently undergoing these changes, so in the PR timescale, it is realistic to think that they would be nearing completion by the time of the conflict.
