Compass add-on, for degrees?

The new compass on the bottom of the screen is great to find your position or yell to your team mates the direction of incoming fire. Wouldn't it be a great idea if we added degree's on to the compass that narrow from 0 - 360? I think it would much accurate to just say the enemy is at 60 degrees rather than saying North East. All you would have to do is maybe edit the compass texture and add in the degrees system

The picture is to clearly show the degrees system, I'd still want the same horizontal slider we have now but just in addition the degrees.

The thing is, an enemy that's at bearing 60 from you is not going to be at bearing 60 from a squadmate nearby. Saying ENE is quite sufficient in that situation.

Not a clock system, because that would confuse people.

Especially if they can't tell the time ......
A good squad using VOIP should be able to communicate well together and spot enemies with the game as it is.

I'm talking about that, for person A , 12 oclock is infront of them, but for person B, its to their left.

12 o'clock is the squad front.
The main attack direction of the whole squad.
But i use only left flank, right flank and behind for such situations of a surprise attack of enemy's.
To define a special enemy the compass system. (N NNE NE ENE E)
Or map grid. (SW of C4)
Clock system for vehicles.

Exactly, work in vehicles with a fixed forward direction, but on the ground its meaning less.

Yeah the clock thing makes no sense.
Anyways I'd like to see the compass be more sharp and clear. It seems a bit fuzzy right now.

You never played any simulators where the clock is gives an accurate heading rather than just saying north. Military wise they use it on boats, ground vehicles and in the air.
I like the 12 O'clock idea, reminds me of arma, if BF2 didn't hard code it, id be great when an enemy is spotted everyone hears the 12 O'clock message "depending on location everyone might hear a different number"
