NO Hvy AT for militia

Militia should NOT have the Hvy AT kit
y? becuase the british are fked because they cant cant the dam APCs within 100m of a flag because 1 shot from Hvy AT annihilates them!
RPGs are fine, and so are mines, but the Hvy AT just pushes it way over the top! its too bloody small for the Hvy AT kit, its not nessesary!
agree/disagree? discuss....

Maybe they should send in some infantry to clear the heavy AT's out.... If there's a sniper then they can divide into fire teams and flank the sniper.

agree, it was mad how much damage it was doing in the game I was playing earlyer. just a small squad, camping on the main road was far to easy to hide around, and at the right time pop up and shoot.
I think 2 more RPGs to replace the HAT would be good.

Disagree, the militia need more a punch to break open the Warriors. The RPG- 7s are weak against them. Besides, if you want the Warriors to be effective have some infantry near the APC to find and kill the heavy anti tankers.

RPGs are very effective aginst APCs, 2 hits and they are down. Thou I do think the milita RPG gunner should be made more like the insurgant RPG gunner, carrying more rockets and a pistol.

then they get blown to sh!t by the AT kit, mowed down by machin gunners waiting (which the APC should take take of), all the while the militia plants mines under the APC (still waiting for the road to be clear) and they decide to camp the guys jumping out the APC. Then Mr Hvy AT comes after reloading and blows the sh!t out of the APC
this is worse case senario, and its happened PLENTY of times
and the best thing of all, on mestia, it doesnt require a lot of intelect to make it hell for the British to cap even ONE flag!

Well I in no way fear the Warrior on Mestia, but I do respect it. I fear and respect the Warrior on AlBasra!
This is becuase of the terrain, namely the many hills, mounds, huge forests and many rocks. Are you people really incapble of using the horrific ammounts of cover on that map to get behine a Warrior or atleast to up to the road it will come along!
A single bloody sapper can own a Warrior any and ever damn day. He has 1 mine and 1 C4. 1 mine is enough to seriously damage a Warrior and force the crew to either pull back or bail. Therefore the sapper has the equipement to reduse the effectiveness of the Warrior and destroy it. However it is just up to players to utalise the equipement that is there and very rediliy avaliable.
THe militia are not a full blown army, without any form of Government or big *** company funding and for this reason they should not get H-AT. Hell this is all news to me becuase i did not even know they had an H-AT, let along an RPG!!!!
The map is actualy brilliantly balanced BUT it requires players on the Militia team to adjust there tactics from the ones they would use when playing as the US/UK/MEC or PLA. You have to focus on Ambushes, retreating from full blown firefights and using stealth more often. The British have an advantage in a plain simple firefight SO DONT GIVE THEM A PLAIN SIMPLE FIREFIGHT! Sometimes you just have to learn to run and pick the fights you know you can win!

also, u think u cant take out an APC? theres a small round thing that u put on the ground (esp at checkpoints) and can take out a Warrior with one ot two hits
this was used to great affect when Mestis was first realesed

I agree, sort of. It was my idea that militia has no AT weapons at all, and must rely on mines and C4 along with smoke to take out warriors. It worked in the early beta version of the map.
Also, when did they add the road blocks into the map? Before, all the roads around the towers where clear, now it seems like they have trees blocking them.

People just disarm the mines or go around and they are poorly placed, so you can see them from a far...we need more bumps, holes, rocks etc. on the roads..

I'd like to see those road blocks were made removeble with a shovel ; This will promote more teamwork .

ok i have personally seen videos of chechen fighters using guided missiles against russian tanks, so they do in fact have heavy at in real life. so why shouldnt they have them in PR?

aint saying they should not have them full stop, just saying in this kind of map it dose not work very well where the entire area is an ambush point (like it was designed to be), and the APC only has 1 (and 1/2) routs it can take from its main base. Up the main road like 80% of ppl do, or round the back path that is blocked by a load of trees, so you cant get very far.
when you think of all the places you can hide for an ambush, then with a 1 hit missile that is very hard to miss at close range, you can see how a 2 or 3 man team and take out every warrior that pokes it head out.

Please do not remove it. If the militia are smart enough to take it, bring it up to the frontlines from their main, and use it without getting killed, then they deserve the kill.

nevermind, I realized that the warrior having to take 2 heavy AT hits before getting destroyed will be fixed in the future

What I prefer is what I do with the insurgants and get 2 guys in my squad to both have RPGs, then using VOIP you get both RPG gunners to fire at the same time, which = warrior down instantly (providing both hit which most of the time they do), and much more teamwork.
I am sure lots of ppl on this server have seen me and Shitewolf RPG whoring on al basrah and seeing how much damage we can do when we work as a team, with the rest of the squad handing us ammo and providing us cover

i think what the militia really need to do to be effective on this map is organize a sniper squad then split it onto two of the ridges in the centre where they can support each other and see both towers..from there they need to just sit back and snipe brits.. they can easily cover from the east tower all the way across the main road from a certain ridge line that i wont mention.
i doesnt matter at all if the warriors are around as they are mianly stuck on the roads due to the nasty terrain..

what i prefer is to use two mans covering the Hat guy , eith the missil ready , park a technical nea us but hidden in some trees , and two guys running around the roads to find a good target , when is finded , we move the HAT guy( covered by the inf guys ) to a elevated place , then shoot and destroy the target (an IFV , SL , RP or a squad )

Heavy AT for Militia should be no more then a pickup kit (or not there at all).
