Well I was watching a video on break.com "http://my.break.com/media/view.aspx?ContentID=323370"

And I saw a part where they put and explosive next to the door and lit it and blew the door down Maybe you can impliment it but with out the c4. Also you could find more things in the video that could help with the mod. Please do not flame. Just say what you think I dont need an argument thank you. Ohhh and maybe we could kick down doors lmao would be funny just a thought nuff said.

I don't know much about urban army tactics but I think this is more of a special forces thing.

Ya...search, breaching tools from Battery RAms with bighorns to a SWAT thingies, has been suggested.

We would need doors for that?

What's wrong with C4?

I doubt in the BF2 engine you can ñlock doors in the first place.

Only breaching I found in the beta was in 7 Gates, the main Chinese base with the basement and destroyable/repairable door.

I filled that door up with razor wire today, hope the chinese didnt lose though.

I liked the idea, but there are no doors around. Maybe the devs could make bunkers with doors and them people could use 'em to breach and assault a bunker. Ok, it's just a dream, but it'd be cool to assault a bunker

i really like the idea, breaching equipment like this can easily be used on walls and stuff so we don't need the doors, would be great if you reduced the explosion damage on lets say a 3 second slam or a c4 and you could use that as the breaching tool. and to make it more distracting make it work like a flashbang that flashes in the direction of the former wall/door one tenth of a second after it blew it.
it's would be more usefull than the slam is at the moment on maps like al basrah (be just make it in a future patch instead of getting it all buggy and shit)

You dont get it C4 is an explosive used to destroy buildings or bridges. It is not ment to destroy a small metal door -.- If you watched the video a soldier went up to the door put a small explosive lit it and ran for cover. Another way used (I dont like) use an m3 tactical shotgun and blow the door handle off or if it has a lock blow the lock off. Well if this dissusion is over I dont mind you close it unless it's an idea that people want and that the dev don't mind.

well i didn't watch the video but i know that they don't use c4 to make breaching charges it's just to powerfull, but plastic explosives can be formed to only make a explosion in one direction so you could stand next to a breaching charge and let it blow down a wall and nothing would happen to you since there will be no explosion to your side, but people inside might be hurt depending on the power of the blast, the thickness/material of the wall etc.

so it is a quite feasible idea and i would like the spc ops to have a breaching charge instead of like the slam or similar.

On Swat 4 they use a C4 to breach doors. But it's smaller, of course.
