Delay when switching kits

It should not be possible to run over a fallen player's kit, pick it up and be able to use it immediately. Even picking up ammo from an ammo bag takes time so picking up a whole kit certainly should, too. There needs to be a delay, the implementation of which depending on what the BF2 engine allows for.
The best implementation would be the most restrictive to discourage switching kits while under fire: When pressing the 'pick up kit' key the player would be unable to move or take any other action while picking up the kit so you would have to think twice and making sure you are safe before doing it, maybe even having somebody cover you. I prefer this harsh solution both because it is the most realistic but especially because it encourages the gameplay I want where you cannot conveniently switch to an AT kit to take out armour or switch to a medic kit and start reviving. This forces players to protect their important classes: If you want to be able to revive the fallen or destroy armour or aircraft you better protect your support classes and let the riflemen and machinegunners do the fighting. In short: more realism, more focus on teamplay and more distinction between the classes.
If the above solution is not possible, picking up kits would have to be instant like before but have a delay before any weapon or item could be used, just like how it currently is with the heavy AT kit.
