~700mb of Map Files not Necessary

First Post :)

With the latest patch they addressed this issue. As long as nothing is modified in the maps (Which as far as I know they are not in this mod) there is a way to get the mod to recognize the original set of maps.

When you package up the mod, all you need to copy from the vanilla set of files is the folder named Info. With those folders in their appropriate spots, the mod will recognise the original maps and use those instead.

Awesome! I did not know that.

PS. Server.zips were modded.

Didn't know anybody thought it was funny besides me. Nobody cared on TotalBF2...

If the server archives are modified then you still have to include the entire server file. However as long as the client archives are unchanged those can be left out of the mod, and will save hundreds of megabytes of space.

Actually, I've always thought your sig was hilarious! Just never said anything on TBF2! :p

About your suggestion, I'm sure that knowledge will come in handy later on! ;)
Thanks for pointing it out.

Not since the hurricane no.

I'm going to perform a long overdue format tomorrow and I backed up all my stuff on a seperate hard drive. As soon as the format gets done and everything gets sorted out I will start working on it again. Other than that not much new to report.

Nothing serious, roof tiles here and there, huge trees getting blown over. A lot of people don't have pool enclosures anymore, me included. Nobody was hurt though. We were lucky there were no floods in my area, that's where the real damage usually comes from. Mobile homes got the worst of it, there are quite a few people with nothing anymore :(
