Special Forces; New weapons

Hello men (and any possible women),
I know the lot of you will probably kill me for mentioning this expansion pack because I'm aware of the community's hate for it (or maybe that's another community). Anyway, onto my point.
I was looking at the list of weapons which were announced for the expansion pack. One of them caught my eye.

The FN F2000.
Wasn't that an abandoned project? Or at least, isn't that model obsolete? I heard it was replaced by something else. I think it was the XV8 I think it was.
[Edit]
I apologise if I put this thread in the wrong section... I didn't know where so I just put it here. The mods can feel free to put it where it should be at their discretion.

I believe that it was the OICW that became obsolete, I am pretty sure the F2000 is still alive and kickin...
It is a very unique weapon in that the shells are ejected in a rather different manner. Instead of being flung straight up and out of the port they are pushed through a little chute on the side of the gun and slide out. There is little force so if only one shot is fired that shell may not even fall out...but if there are other shots those shells will push that one forward....
I say all of that cause I want to see if they do it right ingame.

There are people here who will get Special Forces? I thought the general consensus was that no one will because it's just another EA ploy to get our money.

It's absolutely disgusting how after two weeks of complaints about BF2, EA announces that there's a magic expansion pack coming out! If you ask me, they deliberately put tons of bugs in BF2. The early announcement of Special Forces is too suspicious

Hell no I'm not getting Special Forces. I'm also never buying any EA products again. I know it sounds infantile to a degree, but I don't care. Those ******** will never get a cent from me again. And if they do manage to create a game that I simply cannot live without... I'll buy it from such a source that my dollars will either go through so many holes that EA will only get a fraction of what they are intented to get ... or from ebay where EA will get nothing.
In my opinion, they pushed DICE to completely shit on their own product.
If you've been playing the BF series since the BF1942 wake island demo like I have, you will agree with me when I say that BF2 and BF1942 are completely different games. The only similarities are on a thin surface (the conquest game mode and kit selection.. pretty much it).
The BF1942 community was generally MUCH better than the current BF2 community... there are reasons for that. With the help of EA's financial and marketing departments, DICE has opened the door for more bitching and complaining that I have ever seen in a PC game( yes, I know I'm bitching and complaining.. that's my point). All it takes is looking at the asinine "tk punish" system to realize this.
Edit: I'm not as pissed off as I sound here, as I know it's only a video game. On the other hand, since I spent a descent amount of my personal time trying to have fun playing this game and put my hard earned dollars into it... I get annoyed when corporate greed takes precedence over product quality and masses of retards buy into it -- only fueling the greedy fire which is fanatical capitalism.
Speaking of which.. these type of things catch up to the big name companies. Just look at Dell, they've been unable to reach their projected earnings for years now and it's only downhill for them. Only problem is, EA is a publisher.. thus all they have to do is wave a wad of cash in front of studios like DICE (who whored themselves out in my opinion) and they can release tons of games that will increase revenue -- and if the game fails, they blame it on the studio and drop them like a bad habit.

FN F2000 is definitely still on the market. Actually a civilian non-LEO version will be hitting the market. Don't know of any major adopters yet. It was a completely different project from the XM-29 OICW and later XM-8 which was just cancelled.
