[Help!] bleeding out, scale 4

i know you want problems to in bf2editor but i thought it should go here as its PR related problem.
i got the same code off lexluther for scale 4 maps and i sorted out the texture but when i play the map ingame i start bleeding out and die after about 5 seconds. any idea why?

I posted this some where on the editor forums when I was hacking around with scale 8 maps ages ago, before the fix for scale 4 came out. this is not a PR issue btw.... its again a above scale 2 map issue...

what you need to do is just make a combat zone around the edge of your map, the default combat zone the game makes is for a scale 2 map, and not a scale 4, so you need to force the combat zone in with your own combat zone to get rid of the default one, that goes around the edge.

again, I really state again you should not be working with a scale 4 map, you need to get a good grip with bf2 maps and how they, and the editor works before doing these. If I where you i would start where i started, first off afew mess around 256x2 maps that you never plan to release, then move onto a 512x2 map, that you try to make a good map out of, but still may not get relased but you can try.

Off topic, but related:
I was goofing around my Ramadi map today and went to the edge of the map and over the border and nothing happened. I expect, that Ill start bleeding out, but I was fine...well, it was only a few meters of being outside, but I was outside the map anyhow :o

thats the default combat zone.

thankyou very much for your help rhino, its only a flying practice map so its basically a big desert of sand dunes with two airports and a village. i have got a 512x2 that im doing serioulsy and slowly and with a lot of effort to get really good(see it in my sig)

did you find a remedie for your flickering landing pad/runways for scale 4 maps rhino?

take a look at what we did for the runways on Kashan, thous runways where made for qinling.

but those raised destructable runways are only available for the R-DEV team until public release arent they?

after putting the runway statics in i now get this problem when loading up:

presumably the minimap icon for destroyed runways is missing. any help would be appreciated
