Building up speed in tanks

TBH i havent researched this, but it seems tanks + APCs (tracked ones at least) are a little fast off the mark, could it be possible for them to build up speed a bit slower?
Anyone else got anything to say on this?

You need more facts and figures. Tracks also have rubber blcks on 'em.

In my list, it says use the search function aswell.

It is true that the tanks in game have unreal acceleration. In real life, it takes an Abrams 7.2 seconds to go from 0-20 mph.

In real life, an Abrams doesn't stop to shoot, either.

I think they should have a higher reverse speed.

I cant wait to speed down a road in the challenger though! woo hoo

No. But the tanks in PR don't have stablized guns (yet).

When the do get them ingame the dynamics of tank warfare will change significantly.

So far, the vBF2 tank stabilization only keeps the gun level to the horizon, from my observations, and not zeroed on whatever you're pointing the gun at. Although this can't be edited, it can be replaced.

And I do agree tank warfare in game will change because we will see less of the stop and shoot and more shooting on the go.

It is a false sensation of stabilising because you predict your movements and adjust.

When you can't (because of the driver) you have to adjust on the go.

Full stabilization is possible. It just involves replacing the current form of stabilization as it cannot be edited.
