installation of 0.6?

will it be best to delete previous pr and then install 0.6 or should we install it over the top of 0.5 ?

You can install the PR .6 beta with .5 fine.
However when the full release comes (~10 days according to the front page) you should uninstall .5

Call me stupid, but I just don't seem able to remember if PR actually needs Patch 1.41 of vBF2?

PR needs BF2 v1.41 to run.
for the v0.6 Open Beta version, you can install it along side any other version of PR with no probs, but for the full release of v0.6 will need you to unisntall the old version(s) of PR, (and get rid of the beta too as it will become useless) for you to install the full v0.6
