Please? We really need a desert combat vehicle that can travel fast on that map and humvees/vodniks just dont cut it. Also since the dpv does'nt have a full 360 gun rotation can it have a tighter turning radius?

Are DPVs used by Marines?

The removal of DPV's from most (all) maps was a conscious decision by the mapping team to move away from vanilla, arcade like vehicles...
They fit much better on silly maps I think
On a map like Kashan which is predominantly tank warfare, driving a dune buggy is probably the stupidest thing you could do... what is even stupider is that because of net lag tanks would probably not be able to hit you as much...
So anyways, good suggestion for a hollywood mod but not so much a reality mod

Not when noone in your squad can fly. But seriously though sometimes you need a fast attack vehicle that can run circles around the tank, apc, and humvee/vodnik.(I should know on tampa i did that to a vodnik while my gunner took him out, We never got hit once)

But why would you drive in circles around a tank or APC? That's the stupidest and unrealistic thing you would do...

The HMMWV can corner at speed better than the Chenowth LSV (DPV / FAV) in real life, because the LSV is faster. It's also two-wheel drive. When they tested vehicles for the Army SF mobility detachments, the HMMWV was selected over the LSV partially for this reason.

Once again, the Marines aren't the only US force represented in PR.
The Marines did at one time use the Chenowth LSV, which they and the Army called the FAV (DPV is the Naval Special Warfare designation), in their MEUs. Now they use the IFAV (Interim Fast Attack Vehicle), which is based on the Mercedes G-Wagen, until they can adopt another vehicle built to their specifications that can be carried internally by their heavy lift helicopters, and possibly the Osprey.

Well, if it could be modeled, it might not be the worst idea for Kashan. At the very least, give the...jeep thing...to MEC again, screw balance. On OGM (may it RIP) I loved having a cohesive squad that nabbed two of them, as we could roll around in the mountains hunting tanks and aircraft.
