I'm not sure if its been asked before, i've tried searching but cant find anything - But i'm assuming it has !

I would really like to see a USMC & UK VS PLA & MEC Battle with Each teams own vehicles working together against a Joint Enemy.

if its not, then bah ....

and also - Does the BF2 Engine support more than one team ? eg - Free for all 1 VS 1 VS 1 etc ?

Noteknix ;)

AFAIK no, but even if it did that'd mean only 16 players to a side

No.

The only way you could do it would be having each team having a mix of classes from either faction (ie American Riflemen and British engineers). And then you could only use 1 set of models, IIRC.

If there were only 16 to a side it would have to become some sort of Special Forces map......

From what i remember thats not what people want... :S

i Thought as much, I'd just like to See the US and UK fighting along side each other on PR. :( and the MEC & Insurgents etc ... would be wicked :)

Well, you could make a new faction with UK/US models mixed, like us_heavy_soldier and gb_light soldier and one kit would ahve L85, another M16..

Different spawn classes already use different models. I guess the free slots that are available in .6 could be used with models from another team, and could spawn with other weapons. The problem would be voiceovers, which, are team specific AKAIK (unless you have them toggled to English only).

That would be funny, imagine MEC&PLA joint forces:

MEC soldier: Im wounded, medic!
PLA soldier: Whats he saying?
PLA soldier 2: Dunno, maybe he needs repairs?

I don't think it would be possible for MEC and PLA having their own two separate voice commands... You'd either have to use one or the other.

Either that, or mix those, too...but then you'd had PLA speaking jibberish and MEC screaming Mandarin :p
