Seems like a very cool concept, why are no servers playing it???

Yea man, I'm an extraction fan! Just idle in an extraction server, people will eventually join.

Unfortunatly its normally people who have never played extraction - but we all have to learn somewhere dont we kids!

The most of the time if you play extraction the whole team dont know what to do so thats why the people dont play it.

Last time I played Xtract, our spawn point was being raped&noob toob'd, so the lazy asses wouldnt have to worry about us popping out of nowhere, while going for the Xtract kit...

I admit I have a shame, I've never learned how to play the "extraction mode".

I have played it several times and it can be fun but it usually gets old. One team usually knows what it's doing and dominates the other team. Or there is only one or two routes to take and they get covered really well. This leads to a big frag fest. Lastly on the big maps it can be just plane boring. You sit there and cover your sector for twenty minutes and then you loose with no indication as to what happened (obviously the VIP escaped but no one spotted them or communicated etc.)

I think with the right map and group of people it can be fun but for a puby server it usually follows one of the examples above.

I personally think that extraction mode explains itself by its name and the following loading screen.
At 0.6 noone is playing it at the moment because it is bugged like hell and you won't be able to finish the round proberly.

At 0.5 i always loved the extraction rounds and it was always great fun.

Once i covered the checkpoint (playing USMC) with the TOW as i saw the VIP car followed by some red insurgent car. They were approaching from the southwest right through the desert.
So i aimed at the red car and shot. Just at that moment the VIP car jumped up some dune right into my rocket!
I was like "OMG F*CK NOOOOO!!!!!! I SHOT OUR OWN VIP!! WHAT WILL THE OTHERS SAY!?!?"
But hopefully that car takes more than 1 single hit and we still won......

The one time I played xtract I grabbed the vip kit and just crawled all the way to the extraction point, never even saw any bad guys. Took a while.

Yea I am also a big fan of extraction. Hope to be playing a few more rounds in the future.

Played it a few in .5, but have not seen it since.

My biggest fear is that 'insurgency mode' will become a lot like extraction :/

people dont play it because they cant see the server running extraction.

on the servers list, it lists conquest by default and if you dont change it to "all" you wont see extraction servers

They can still mix Xtract with AAS and run multiple maps with multiple modes...

Exactly.

Sometimes rounds can last 45 seconds, which isn't very good for people who's PC takes more than that to load the map and get ingame.

Aswell as the obvious "errrmmm... like what are we supposed to do dude?" in the chat.

I agree that it can be frustrating playing extraction with people that don't know what to do cos it can be real fun. I've played it a few times in version 0.5 but haven't in the 0.6b version.

Did this one time too, but then I noticed halfway back that the Server had not aknowledged me hitting the flag at the crash site,so I had to crawl back....luckily I was later escorted home with the landrover.

Extraction can be very fun,but it is hard to get two balacned teams,usually one just dominates the other.
