Have a few what may seem dumb questions to the "vets" but can't find answers to..
1) When crouched behind concealment (ie stone wall) you sometimes seem to be peering over it ..does this mean you are also exposed to enemy fire?
2) How does one tell the difference between friendly and hostile vehicles? They don't seem to carry any identification markings.
3) Does one alway have enter vehicles through the access point whether it be door/hatch?
Thanks.

Hi there beerhunter!
1) If you can see the enemy, they can shoot you.
2) Friendly vehicles appear on your minimap, hostile ones don't.
3) Yes, although some are more forgiving than others.

The vehicles are pretty picky about entry and exit. The APC's don't have doors in the same spot, MEC is only on one side, US is at rear, PLA ?
Tanks you have to jump up onto the turret to get in wich can be difficult some times.

USMC, GB and PLA have APC doors at the back, MEC is at sides

If you can't see the enemy, they can still shoot you! unfortunately your head is higher than the camera point ingame! Be very careful with that thought in mind

2) Yes there is the minimap. But friendly vehicles are the vehicles used by your team. Enemy vehicles are the ones used by the enemy team.
So if you are playing as MEC and see hmmwv it is hostile. Also if you are playing as US and see a hmmwv you know it's friendly. Always!

1. Take in account that when prone your legs will stick out of the wall, which unfortunately can be shot/stabbed. You also have a forehead.
2. With time, you should differentiate between the vehicles.
USMC usually have light brown vehicles.
MEC usually have Dark Brown vehicles.
PLA usually have Dark Green vehicles.
British usually have Green vehicles.
Of course this depends on the map itself, and some colours may vary.
As said above always check the minimap, if you're unsure.
3. Light and Heavy transport, such as jeeps, enter through the side doors, or in the rear (not that rear...).
APC; USMC - Rear, PLA - Rear, MEC - Side (middle)
Tanks - All tanks have the entrance on the hatch on top of it, to access it jump on the front of the tank.
Anti Air vehicles; USMC - Rear, PLA - Rear, MEC - Front Left.
Planes and helicopters, enter on the side of the cockpit. Request a kit there too!
Have a nice day.

Note - You enter the Z-8 from the rear ramp

Also, terrain renders thiner at distance, but you don't!
So if you plan to hide behind a small ridge from a tank 1 Km away, think again...

Don't forget, you know if the enemy are firing at you by "effective fire" that is when the rounds are actually hitting you. If the rounds aren't actually hitting you, just carry on with where you were going.

Or their aim is off, then you can also just carry on.
