G3KA4/G3LMG/HK79 suggestions

Would it be possible to give the G3ka4 instead of the HK53a3 for the mec spec-ops?

Why do the mec have hk21's? I thought they were using old german/russian weaponry? I think the G3LMG would be a more realistic weapon for them.

Would it be possible to replace the AK101/GP-30 With the G3A3/HK79?

EDIT: Does anyone have pic of the G3LMG? I've googled it but only thing that comes up are bf2 pics.

1. The HK21 is the G3 LMG. It's the 7.62x51mm Roller-Delayed Blowback LMG/GPMG formerly produced by H&K. You cant really get more "G3 LMG" than that.

2. The G3A3TGSZ (G3A3 with HK79 and scope) is due for v0.7. Currently waiting for animation, last I heard of it.

3. The G3KA4 would be possible, but there is not currently a model for it. Also, it may be that a 7.62x51mm carbine does not suit the needs of MEC special forces as well as a 5.56x45mm ultra short carbine.

1. Really? I heard it was G3 with a bypod, Extended barrel, And a bigger ammo capacity.(Not 200 though more like 40-50)

2. Woot! Thx for the quick reply.

3. Ya thats true but whya re they using the HK53 with the G3? Would'nt it be better if they used the Hk33? Not criticizing you dev's just making a point.

1. You might be thinking of the G8, which was a HK-21/G3-based squad support weapon made almost exclusively for GSG-9.

3. Why not? The HK53 is a sub-machinegun length carbine version of the HK-33 anyway.

This has also been suggested before. G3KA4 was long enough to do the search. Just be sure to check next time. :)

This is the G8, which was a HK-11/G3-based squad support weapon made almost exclusively for GSG-9. It was used with 20 rd box or 50 round drum magazines, but could be adapted for belt feed. It did have a quick-change barrel, though.

I agree with what Bob said. The HK53 is, IMO, a good Spec Ops weapon. Even though I think the G3KA4 is one of the sexiest weapons ever made.

Also, I'd like to see P90 for MEC crewman.

As would just about everyone...

Well I don't think too highly of the 53 from what I heard about it. Size is good for CQB but the recoil makes it basically useless there since it can't shoot full auto bursts decently without going all over the place. Seems overcompact. But that's just what I heard.

As for light MG... I guess the MEC is using "relatively" new weapons so they probably won't use the MG3 anymore which is what I consider a good thing to go with the G3 on the Battlefield. But the HK21 seems to be a good fit for a step away from the 60s.

Finally the HK79. I'm going to do the animations for it soon. Will be a bit of work since the reload works completely different from any other underbarrel grenade launcher in the game so far.

I've always wondered why the Dev's selected the German weapons for MEC.

No idea . Any modern small arms may be selected for MEC the way DEV's did it and explain it .

Because Heckler & Koch are producing some of the best and most popular weapons on this planet?
Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K) is a German weapons manufacturing company famous for various series of small firearms, notably the MP5 submachine gun, the MP7 personal defense weapon, USP series of handguns, high-precision PSG1 sniper rifle, and the G3 and G36 assault rifles. Heckler & Koch is known for the extreme precision, durability, reliability and accuracy of their firearms.
All of their firearm models have achieved reputations for excellent accuracy and reliability, however, their high price tag has somewhat offset their popularity in the civilian market.
...and the IRAN has a license to produce the G3.
