For the First time ever in my History of Playing PR i think i may have met a Hacker! I was playing mestia as brits. We were capping west tower, I was on the top level, With a squad leader, I hear gunshots so i drop down with my L119 to see what going on and i see this scout with his sks killing my teammate, He swirves 90 degrees to me and pops 2 shots killing me. I'm like wtf? No way! I respawn and say maybe it was lag?(Since i was at my dad's house who has 768k connection and a shitty pc)

5 minutes later we are deploying a rally 120m from east tower, 4 of my squadmates are there by squad leader, I see this sks from the treeline and i try to warn my squad i'm the first one dead... Medic tries to revive me he's next. Then 10 seconds later the rest of my squad dies. They were like where did they come from? I told them it was one guy, They did'nt believe they thought it was a Militia Ambush or Sniper. I try to tell them i saw only one guy by the tree's on top of hill with an sks, They say nah it's impossible thats too far to nail us with sks like that.

As we all respawn i try to get an admin but none was there. I try to ask the Militia who was near east tower but they just say gtfo noob. Anyway i pressed tab to look at the scoreboard but nothing stood out, The entire Militia team was extremely good. So i thought maybe it was just an ambush but i know an aimbot when i see one(Used to play CS:S)

See this what i kinda hate about PR because it does'nt tell you who killed you. I have no proof, No screenies(Since my dad thinks fraps is spyware) Only thing I have is what i've seen with my own eyes.

It's really sad that some people have to hack in PR and make themselves feel better.

If you guys have any ideas what it might have been other then an aimbot please tell me.

EDIT: My friend once ran into a situation like this in CoD2, Getting killed the same way with an M1 garand.

Aimbots love Semi-auto rifles...

You know there are many hack sites that provide hacks for a monthly payment membership. Its fu*king sh!t, i know. I did some research and i think more people hack BF2 than people think. Some hacks i know exist include: Name tags for enemy players, Enemy players on the map, No recoil, Max accuracy every shot (Even on automatic, you can fire a PKM while standing and it would hit like you were prone aiming). You see advertisements for hacks on things like you tube ect.

I think many people hack. Because the hack sites i come across have ALOT of members subscribing to a monthly payment. I think many people just use the hacks that aren't easily detectable (Enemy's on the map and Enemy name tags). So when i see a good player i really don't know if he is ACTUALLY good... Theres a member of my clan in 2142 that i am pretty sure hacks. These sites have a crew of coders that are paid to keep up with punkbuster and always be one step ahead of them. It sucks and i think it should be illeagle.

Hm, maybe he was really that 1337 and used h4x. I guess never to assume?

In all my time in PR i've yet to come accross a hacker I couldn't pwn in the face from 500m with a sniper round, so yeah.

I had an encounter with a likely hacker yesturday, but its just hard to really diagnose it, i mean maybe hes lucky and has great skill too, but when he gets a 38/4 ratios as insurgent headshotting people in thick smoke 500m away.

Bleh.

I use battle recorder to review suspicious games. Admins usually appreciate it and if you find anything you can always post it here. Hmm, we should make a thread to list suspected cheaters. You would need a fairly self explanatory screen shot to be able to post there. Who agrees?

No. No. And... No. This a very bad way of handling things. Issues should be communicated to server administrators directly (not in public forums) via email or forum private messages.

Server admins for the mod should have a private forum where they can discuss among them suspected players. (which they probably already have hidden in the PR forums).

There is no point for what ever reason to discuss suspected cheaters in public forums. This will help nothing in solving the cheating issue and can result in a witch hunting community. If server admins do feel they need to come public with information regarding suspected cheaters, they will do it. I've never seen an occasion where this was either helpful or desired.

If you have serious suspicions about a player, you should report it to the server administrator directly with appropriate informations (player name, time and date, screenshots, demorecs, etc.).

Thats the problem! If they are on the opposite team you dont know who it is hacking unless you're an admin which can freeze the server.

Use the battlerecorder. Or get ahold of an admin immediately. But I seriously don't think this would justify even opening a discussion whether or not kill messages should be displayed.

I've been playing games without kill and death messages for years now where we did have quite a few cheating issues, and we always managed fairly easily.

On a sidenote, most of the "offenses" reported almost never turned out to be true. I I think I can count on my hands the cases reported to me in over 7that turned out to be real case of hacking.

Had a similar feeling last night on Qwai, I was running along a wall, and a PLA guy was running 90deg. to my position (around the corner that is) and managed to pronespam the very instant he turned (i.e., he went prone before he made it to the corner) and get a headshot.

They really need to find a workaround to add a delay before you can fire when going to/from the prone position. Something like 2 seconds. That would improve both gameplay and realism. A lot.

There happen many mysterious Things and Situations in this Game. The Battlerecorder is one at this Moment the only one Option to find an Cheater. But they can´t feel save in PRMM, there are other Options to find out their Names and their Hacks and i not mean Punkbuster or the other known Anticheat Tools.

lol you dont know about me dude today it happend to me too(and every other day bassicly) si today on the same map i was playing millitia too i was at east tower i was an officer squad leader so i see that brit climbing to the tower he saw me i hit him with like 6 scorpion fully automatic shots
and i even saw the blood comin out while he was getting shot by me he shot and killed me with 1 or 2 bullets that im guessing hit my head i mean wtf and i was behind half cover he was in open area you should show killls you and who you kill cuz without that you cant know who is hacking

I have to agree with Geogob. Even though I feel very strongly against cheating, exploiting game glitches and the worthless human garbage that use them, I do not think throwing names around in a public forum is the correct way to handle things either. The only thing that will result in is slander, arguments and endless feuds, and the actual guilty will slip away amid the chaos.

Now, once these instances are privately investigated and proven to be genuine cases of exploiting or hacking, they should be banned from these forums and from PR servers and hopefully never heard or seen again.

I understand what most of you are saying and feeling because to indulge my own personal feelings, I would like to see them publically crucified and humiliated, but that is not the correct way to handle a situation like this.

Something needs to be done, but not this.
