Ehm. Just call your squad "armor". That usually gets people in it who are interested in driving/gunning armor.

if not you will have a problem and that means no armor on the battlefield

There is no such thing as a "tank squad", the smallest maneuver element in regards to MBT's is a Tank Platoon which consists of four tanks, two wingman which each aids the PltLdr and a Plt assistant.

This is up to the players not the modders.

Most people will, unfortunately, be more willing to grab another tank, rather than gun for someone else, after joining an armor squad.

Yeah, tanking is my favorite part of PR. I love the TC/gunner setup, I just wish there was a way to visually mark targets for the gunner. IRL the TC has an override button to move the turret, and sometimes your gunner in PR doesn't speak English, or your commander doesn't have a mic.
dunehunter hit it on the head though, call your squad tank or armor then kick people who don't do what you say. I did this was Strategist a few times during the beta and we always kicked ***.

Q >> SPOTTED.
Yeah I'm sick of seeing one man tanks. Not only does it work AGAINST your team, but it ticks me off when I expend three or more heavy AT rounds against a vehicle that nets one kill, at most.

Awwwwwwwwwwww not getting your money's worth ?
A solo tank is a fact of life and if it is placed in a good location then the driver isn't needed.
But if you plan on attacking w/ the tank then a driver is the only way to survive any length of time.

Expendable, I've had something similar, even had it on the open beta once. 29/1 in the beta, 33/0 in the full. It really isn't that hard to do really well on Kashan if you're a good tanker.

Last night on GSA (Australia) we had 3 one man tanks at Zetar.
They just stood there and sniped. All got good kill ratios.
But one after another they were killed by H-AT.
Between the first and last AT missile they didn't move, didn't throw smoke.

Best tank setup is a 2-man squad. Being in a tank is very intense, and if you have a good crew, there's a lot of comms back and forth between the driver and gunner. By staying in a 2-man squad, you don't annoy or confuse anyone else with the chatter.
Driver: "Infantry, 2 oclock low!"
Gunner: 1 down.. 2 down... scanning... loading sabot.
Driver: tank 11 oclock high!
Gunner: Copy, I see em. Move forward..... Hit. good hit.
Driver: pulling back
Gunner: stand by... round up.
Driver: moving forward.
Gunner: Stop. Hit. Down. Tank down.
Driver: Roger, good hit... scanning... AT! AT!
Gunner: Don't see em! No shot!
Driver: Contact! Right, 3 oclock long... marking with icon..
Gunner: I see it... hold here.... Missed! Pull back, pull back!
Whew! Do that for 40 minutes straight on Ejod. It's intense. Love tanks.

We had a 3 man tank squad once.
The coax gunner (engineer) died once every 2 minutes. More if tank stand around too much.
Talk of which I recall in POE2 mod (theme also near future as is PR) the German tank coax gunner is inside the tank.

i remember being in a tank crew before...it was ace..i was the driver and my commander or gunner told me to reverse and go forward because i spotted an enemy tank so we kepted driving up and down shooting at the tank before he could take us out.
then our tank got damaged eventually...so i had to drive quickly to a safe enough location while my crew defended the tank from infantry etc..it was well ace!, i'd rather be in a tank than be in infantry, cos i get cut down most of the time as an infantryman lol!. but who cares its a game and i dont care about deaths, its all about fun and teamwork and helping ya team win ^^
