so, I have a few ideas for CAS

first idea: JDAM. this would be another commander asset. a squad leader would request an airstrike somewhere and the commander would say yes or no. if he allowed the airstrike, a pilot flying in a plane armed with JDAM bombs would fly towards the target. the target coordinates would appear on the HUD as a RADAR target

second idea: LGB and autopilot: there are two methods for this, active laser designating and passive designating.

in active laser targeting, the pilot would enabe an auto pilot and will point a LASER beam at a target with a FLIR or a LANTIRN targeting pod. the laser would stay on the target. when in range, the pilot will release the bomb and the LGB will seek out the laser beam

in passive laser targeting, a squad leader would use a laser designator and point a laser beam at a target. the point at which the laser is pointed would appear as a target on the HUD much like a JDAM

The problem with Laser Guided stuff is that it's difficult to implement in BF2, have a nice day.

Im appalled guys, I really am.
You can see hes new, yet you decided to blast him and potentionaly shoo another member away from the forums. Its not fair at all and very hypocritical. We all have resuggested, especialy in our 1st 10 posts, so dont act like you never did.
If your too self focused, then think about what the potential for yourself is. That member you make feel targeted and disliked could be a future Developer, or at least contributing in some fashion, making PR better for you, because thats all that metters, isnt it?...
