i just thought of this and i did do a search on this topic. but would it be possible to give the co-pilot bombs and have them look through the crosshairs but can move them. but they are looked in place so at top speed without afterburners going the crosshairs are on the perfect angle the bombs will follow so all you have to do i release the bombs when the target is in the crosshairs. and no matter what height you are at they will always hit.

Don't quote me on this, but I think that bombing specific targets is a bit more scientific than just looking down the cross-hair and 'bombs away!'

nice spamming.

back on topic, we are looking at working on the planes alot more in the near future. at the moment we are drawing out our plan for 0.7, aswell as taking a small brake so I can not tell you yet when we are going to be looking into stuff like this, but we will try to do something that is realistic, fun and works well ingame, and gameplay wise overall :)

cheers! :)

well in WW2 it was abit like that, but in modern jets it is a little more complicated that that :p

like what?

also the bombs in the game follow a fall path until i think 200m down then you fall vertical and no longer on a angle.

why not just do what every flight simulator ever did and just make it so that the place that the CCIP sight lands on is where the bomb will fall

I dont think its gonna happen.

PR has removed two-seaters such as the fighter-bombers you refer to entirely. All that remain are the single seater attack jets and fighter jets.

how are they unrealistic all the weapons on them are real just how they fly isn't because the f-15 was at first used like a fighter and it was dam god at it.

i hope they will add a B2 loaded with a few nukes in the backseat... maybe drop them off in somewhere around Basrah

the concept of nukes would ruin the gameplay

nah !
Tactical nukes will be used within the next 10 years, probably by Pakistan but they could have a VERY limited place in PR.

But the bombsight would have to have a specific alt and speed to be accurate I would think.

Bombsights which show the flight path of the bomb after release is hardcoded in BF2. Yes, there has been a subject on this.

Thread locked because bomb sights in their conventional sense (i.e top down WWII style) do not exist anymore. They have been replaced by CCIPs (constantly calculated impact point) which appear on the Pilot's HUD and remove the need for a bombardier in the CAS aircraft featured in PR.

As far as i know BF2's engine will not support the introduction of CCIPs, nor will PR reintroduce fighter-bombers to game in the interest of game balance.

Also, i will AGAIN encourage people to actually PLAY the game before making suggestions.
