Support kit - use it!

Today I was playing in the Tactical Gamer server and joined the infamous "TG Assault" squad for 3 rounds. I was assigned the Support kit to help with suppression fire. I never used to use this kit, but now it's all I'm ever going to use. It's disasterous!
Using this class really taught me how to set up a good base of fire. I started calculating distances and areas of approach, as well as great points for an ambush.
Usually everyone is on the move and few pay attention to all of the little details in the maps, like the ledges, corners, barrels, etc. Usually the opposing side will consistently attack from the same location so if you setup a firing position with a support weapon you can COMPLETELY shut off an entire street until they bring heavy weapons or flank you.
If you're using a standard issue rifle or any rifle other than the Light MG, you'll often begin to receive returning fire about 3 seconds after you engage. This will usually give you enough time to kill 2 enemies at most since the recoil is such that you need to heavily adjust after every shot.
Not with the Light MG! When in prone unsupported position the recoil is strong, but the rate of fire is such that you can continously re-adjust your aim while firing. This completely screws them up because bullets are hitting around the entire squad and it messes with their senses (you know, the effect that occurs when a bullet hits nearby).
There are, of course, strict disadvantages to this kit -- which include range, amount of ammo, and reload time... but if used correctly it's very devastating.
Try it out!
