Been wanting to do this since .5, but since .6 was coming close I waited till now.

Quetion is, in .6 what is your "pride" kit, and why?

A pride kit is simply a kit you take from the enemy that, for some reason, you prefer above all other kits you can take. These can be from the common special forces kit, to the support kits or even crewman.

Just list the faction you're fighting. For instance, vs. Insurgents, my pride kit is Insurgent Special Forces, because it's freaking rare.

Here we go:

Vs...

Insurgents: Special forces, because it's a RARE find
Militia: Officer kit, as it's a hard to find kit sometimes
GB: Officer kit, as I like the L9 pistol
USA: Marksman kit, even though I'm no good with it if you read my other thread you know why
PLA: I'm going to have to say Special Forces, because I actually don't see them often, and their SMG thing is cool.
MEC: Support kit, because it makes a cool sound when it fires and I hardly ever see it


How about the rest of you?

if im militia or insurgent, i ditch the crappy AK for the full auto M4 Spec Ops kit.


if im USA and I expect the combat to be not super close and not super far, ill grab an AK.



I generally like to grab the opposing force's kits so when they hear me fire, they will think nothing of it.

In 0.4 whenever I killed a USMC spec ops, I'd take his M4, teabag him a bit, and then empty a clip into his face.

Does that count?

Anything that goes bang and doesn't kill me.

if i have an unscoped (no4x zoom) m16 i will grab a g3 when ever possible.

if im playing brits v insurgents i will try to get hold of an ak some times because its easier to spray that thing when you need to, especially with people popping out of no where on that map.

When fighting MEC, I'll usually try to get my hands on a G3, simply for it's killing power.

against USMC/GB the officer's kit (for the pistol and flashbangs )

against militia/ins the sniper kit

Insurgents: War Vet - very close loadout to conventional rifleman , but trusty 7.62 AK instead of 5.56 . And as I prefer CQB over long range engagements...
Militia: definitely Officer . If I can't find one , I'll grab PKM(same with Insrg,btw) or AK
GB: minimi - devastating rpm\accuracy
USA: M249 SAW - see minimi ; M40 - best bolt action rifle in PR
PLA: - I never pick up chinese kits ... dunno why but I don't find them good trophys unless it is officer or my sq mate needs medic
MEC: Rifleman

When playing on militia, I'll usually try to grab a Brit medic kit, for its revive capability. Otherwise, when I'm a medic, I usually only swap out for other medic kits, especially if I already used some field dressings, shock paddle charges and ammo mags, so that the other kit has more. When not a medic, I'll usually only go for useful limited kits, such as grenadier.

Insurgents - Insurgent kit. AK and Molotovs FTW.

Malitia - PKM

GB - Support

USA - Grenadier. I just like M203 heatshields

PLA - Grenadier. Scope. Nade launcher. Flashbangs! epic win.

MEC - Support. I loves my HK21.

When USMC vs Ins - AKs
When Ins vs USMC - anything
When USMC versus MEC/PLA - defo the Rifleman kit with scope
When USMC/GB versus PLA - usually swap weapons to confuse them with sound IDing, also the Grenadier for its scope, nades and flashbangs
When PLA vs GB - nothing, unless its something nice, like Marksman

I'm mainly a sniper, so I'll here a chinese who has an L96A1, or has stolen a kit off of me, I'll hunt them down and take it. After that, I'm good, but if I'm an insurgent, I usually grab an M16 because of the reason that it zooms alot further for some kits. But I love my sniper rifle. (And chinese marksmen.)

I don't take kits, I cut off one of his ears and put it on my necklace.



Or I will grab the marksman/sniper sometimes just to deny the other team the kit. I do have a special place for the PKM though on Basrah

Then get in a tank

I don't really have a pride kit, I have a pride capture though.

When I'm insurgent or militia and I track or disable an armored vehicle and it's crewman, I'll jump around on top of it yelling "Allahu Akbar" and make sure they see what killed them.
