Do you get an error when opening the .rar or when installing?
Did you try the torrent?

I get the feeling the downloads never finished downloading, sometimes I download may look like it finished downloading but it just stops for no reason.

Try torrent. Fast and reliable and once torrent hits 100% you know it's done.

Also 1.8gb ain't small so it's a file you either need to use torrent or a download manager which allows resume.

You see, the problem isn't the gizmos, the gadgets, the devs, or the republicans... Hell, it ain't even the democrats... It's you. You still use IE. The end.

Torrent ftw.

Torrent system has extra checking, downloads in bits and if the bit isn't right it will chuck it.

IE doesn't do that, not even Firefox.

Everywhere I posted direct links I've pleaded with people to use the torrent to avoid this very same situation.

However, there could be some things affecting this also. Like a slowly corrupting HDD. Before the next time you download anything, run chkdsk please, find out how, it is important.

hey no i have to agree with the OP, i had to get a friend to burn 0.6 for me because my downloads all got corupted at like 1.5 gb for unknown reasons.

tried it 3 times on different servers, with no other processes running in the background.

stupidly though i didnt think of using flash get, so i could re-mirror the downloads which is what my friend did when his download broke at 1.5gb as well.

And none of that is our fault. ;)

AFAIK all the mirrors are fine and so any corrupting is on the user end. Not much we can do about that.

It's not a retarded program, it's a bittorrent client. If you don't care to download it using bittorrent, use a mirror.

Maybe people are having issues with download accelerators. I've seen many examples of large downloads being corrupted by download accelerators.

You need a torrent client to download and run torrent files.

Calm down for a bit and do some research. The torrent client I use is called "Azeureus" and I like it. Other people like uTorrent for downloading torrents.

Download one of those, install it, then click on the torrent link. That application will know what to do with the file.

Now, you wait. Torrents take a while to get started up, as a developer mentioned earlier it takes a few minutes to get going fast.
