Kit limiting

This is more of a quick question then a suggestion (I tried looking but there were so many threads that included the words I gave up. I'm sure some well mannered regular will give a quick answer, the thread will be locked accordingly and we can all have a nice cup of tea and get on with our lives).

With the newest release are there differences in the amount of limited kits on either side dependant on the maps in play? If not are there plans to implement such a system to balance out maps and iron out unnecessary use of certain kits i.e. using heavy AT on infantry only maps etc?

Yes there are differences.

On some maps, "rebel" sides don't even get kits at all.

But there is Heavy AT on maps where the enemy has no armor I think, like Basrah and Helmand.
It is a good question, almost viking-proof even.

I believe that kit limits are still based on the amount of people on the server, and are map-independent. The private server config file still includes settings for numbers of kits based on the numbers of players.

The answer is no. The number of kits issued at any given moment is a function of team population/server population.

theres only sniper on a few maps tho, I'd like to see that kit a lot more often.

Heh, way to edit Bonsai, you could be the next Michael Moore or something. ;-)

If anything the sniper needs taking out of some maps (it's currently on all of them so I dunno what you mean pasfreak) and limiting more in my opinion. I think 2 for every 32 players is kinda ridiculous. Would be nice if there was some sort of spotter so there could be one of them and 1 sniper per 32 and remove the kit altogether from some maps.

yeah the obvious thing is map (infantry map don't need H-AT, armour map needs more)

but the other thing is that vehicle spawn doesn't depend on no. of players whereas kit pool does so it could be weird sometimes

With .7 not been that long away in computer game release date kinda terms, I just wanted to know if this kinda thing was gonna make it.
