Hotwiring?

Would it be possible to hotwire enemy vehicles? Imagine this your squad is in the middle of the desert, You have 1km to walk to your next objective the commander has no vehicle to drop, An enemy vehicle comes around your squad hides and at the perfect opportunity ambushes them and kills them, One of the engineers stands over the drivers side door whips out his wrench and does a little tinkering. Viola! You have a perfectly good transport to use. Now i'm not suggesting this be for all vehicles (Aka tanks/apcs) just the Transports such as Humvee/Vodnik.

And this also would be great for giving engineers a bit more respect(I know they build stuff and what not but still most squadleaders ask me to go as spec-ops instead of engy when i ask them{It seems they still dont know that 1 c4 is more powerful} Also the rifleman have shovels) So what ya guys think?

Yeah, using enemy vehicles... can result in teamkilling... or in real life... friendly fire.

i think i saw it in the Already Suggested Suggestions thread and it was read

Meaning "Hard Coded"

***Correction i just reread that thread and i did not see hard coding,,Sry for giving you a fake reply

But i do like that idea allot if its plausible,
man i cant tell you how many time ive been stuck in the middle of kashan only to find a vodnik

the answer was simply that if the vehicles were entereable by both teams thety would show up on both teams minimap when empty

why would any one surrender in a damn video game,

I have nothing to lose if i die in PR except spawn time, but still.

Hotwiring vehicles is hardcoded, you either have to make all vehicles side locked or not. Besides, with side locked vehicles, everytime I see, say, an enemy Vodnik, I automatically know it's an enemy and not worry if it's our team's vehicle or not. That means I'm free to fire without worrying about teamkilling anyone.

I'm only suggesting this since i'm a kashan whore and vehicles are freaking hard to find in the middle of the desert. And my other idea about fav's and dpv's was turned down. I dont see why it should be hard coded i mean on gator when you capped flight deck the essex gun belonged to your team so i dont see why the dev's cant make a script which allows the engineer/crewman to change vehicles sides with his wrench(Again not criticizing just asking). Maybe one of the dev's could answer this?

Not by choice. I was in a squad of 3 guys driving to south village in Humvee, We got ambushed by an enemy vodnik halfway there, They brought our humvee down to smoking with the .50 cal and we had to all bail, We ran behind some dunes i was Heavy AT and popped the vodnik square in the windshield, We ran over to our humvee reloading our guns, Then we walked atleast 400m to south village we were almost there when again another vodnik popped up in the distance, We hid behind some more sand dunes but they spotted us, I was waiting for the damn SRAW to arm when my SL killed the gunner and the 2 guys in the back of it, We slowly crept over trying to see if any were alive, I stayed back just in case, My Sl and Sm said the coast was clear and signaled me over on voip, And that was when the SL said "God i wish i could just jack this i'm so sick and tired of walking" Thats when i got the Idea.

playing the game has to be convenient in every respect. i want immediate gratification when im doing everything, and video games are no exception. it should be put in the video game that whenever i want to be somewhere else i can get there fast even if i f**ked up and let my humvee go down. im the most important person and i want their vehicles. and if you dont give them to me im going to hold my breath until i die.

Your squad should suck it up and just keep running to your objective. I mean, it IS a desert, it's supposed to be long and relentlessly tiring (in PR's case, time wasting). There are different options such as calling for a Blackhawk, Little Bird, or hitch a ride in a light transport that your teammate might be driving near you.

Not possible. We were sent to hold off the village from the MEC by the commander while the rest of the team was capping their outpost.

All the littlebirds/Blackhawks were dropping off people at bunkers by commander, My squad leader tried to call for an extraction but(Being noob season) Noone listened.

My commander had no vehicles for us. He was dropping them to Demolition Squad to blow their main(Basically a spec ops squad that annoyed the enemy)

Thank god a dev! Can you please tell me would it be possible to code hotwiring? Please?

Because this is project reality try to avoid fixing an issue with something else.

The actual issue in OP is simply his team is not picking him up thats all.
