You guys here at PR are quite possibly true gaming-wise geniuses. The PR Mini- mod is (at least in my opinion) the best thing to have happened to a BF game since DC. There are only two things missing: servers and players. Right now (at 16:40 hours -5 EST) there are 17 servers. 5 have players. Three only have 1. For some reason, my BF2 only brings up one server. We need to make more people aware of this mod. The reason I say "We" is that this is something the whole community can get involved in. Post on forums, talk about it on AIM and chat rooms, REFER PEOPLE to this site.
There are amny resons for this. I, personally, am getting tired of the same meat. I need new people for my AK-101 to rip up. I am also getting kind of tired having to play on only one server. There are other benefits, too. Greater publicity would bring Devs and other support out from interested people.
Hey, its just a thought.

Good thought and people are working on trying to get more support for the mod right now. We are trying to get organized game days and stuff like that going.

Yes, tht would really be helpful to us, as when the final idea comes out, the more people playing, the merrier!

Myself and Artnez have been trying to make this happen for such a long time now, however the commitment of the PR community at large particular the N/A contingent is woeful. A regular Saturday night ( the option was put out there and this day was chosen ) has been arranged for weeks now, however lack of interest and commitment as mentioned forced us to abandon the idea. I sincerely hope you have better luck with this, many will make empty promises about turning up, then follow this up with excuses as to why they couldn't make it. " My dog, got pregnant by next doors cat! " you know the shit I'm talking about. Best of luck and I for one will support this move whole heartedly.
As for the forum posting, I took it for granted that people posted on other forums, with info and rave reviews about the mod. Although from what you say, this appears not to be the case. Again, the community is letting itself down as much as the devs, if indeed they are not making any effort to promote the mod externaly. COme on folks, lets start pushing the mod as hard as possible, more fans = more members = more people to get the game on with.

Well, who wouldn't?
As for why people don't show up... I don't know...
There are not that many people who like the PRMM style of gaming. I've met quite a few first timers online who just up and said that the mod sucks and would get erased from their harddrives...
It takes committment to stay with a mod until you've learned it's good AND bad sides. Most people just want to hop on a server and have their game served on a silverplate.
A Public Relations Unit for PR sounds like a good idea to me. Also more frequent updates on what is going on behind the scenes even if it is just to say the this dev or that is taking a golfclass next sunday... Just to involve the community a bit more.
There really need to be more interviews with the Devs on gaming sites, more screenshots an more pictures of models and maps.
Not to mention the need for adding talented people to an already talented team!
So, let's get the ball rolling here!

I was going to post about the mod on File Front's
Gaming Forums, however I thought it wasn't my place to do so, and PMed requiem advising this instead. If nobody's done it yet, shall I do so then?

I was going to post a lot more pictures, to bring in the punters so to speak, but I don't know which ones the team are happy with me "advertising".
Devs, let me know what you think, and if you want me to change anything I've posted about the mod.

Has anyone taken the liberty to write up a review and presentation of the Project Reality mod for the PlanetBattlefield forums?

Yes and Total BF2 also. Both have around 65 or so replies and 2,500 views. They are now spent though and quickly drop off the first page. A new post would be good.

Well, I made a topic about PR on the IGN boards, and here's the response I got:
"I tried it a week back. I'm glad games are unrealistic as they are. It zapped the fun right out of BF2. No crosshairs, no health or ammo bars, you die from everything..."
What a ****

This game is not for everyone. In order to spread the word around the different communities we have to post on other boards. There will be tons of posts similar to the one Brentos mentioned or worse.
Obviously PR is not for those people. But, some of you are here just because you saw a thread on any other forum that you frequented and became interrested. You came here and got hooked!
What did the Man say? "Go forth and procreate!"
So keep posting about PR and PRMM on other forums to bring the wayward children in from the cold.

wrong answer!
correct answer: his opinion about what is 'fun' in a game is different from yours (or ours)
He doesn't like the mod? Well, fine. There are also people that do like the mod, and those are the ones we're after.

i didnt realize there was so much fun to suck out of bf2

??:
you really have to be in the mood for some run and gun to play BF2, though not so much run and gun that you pop in H2
