I was watching Blackhawk Down last night, And the Black Haks in that Film are all really nice Shiny black.

Any chance of a Shiny Re-skin at any point ?

The BHs used in Somalia and therefore BHD were from the 160th SOAR and happended to be black at the time.
That doesnt mean that BHs are always black.

^very true Bosco. And those blackhawks are a unit that does a litle bit of SF.
But USMC blackhawks are mostly gray.

ya but u know the whole thing was those BH helos were washed and everything. the only thing is the black ones dont MATCH to desert ground.

No they're not... The USMC doesnt have Blackhawks with the exception of the VH-60Ns of HMX-1

I wonder why for desert deployment they don't have desert cammo or whatever? I know in WW2 they did it for planes, figured it might have a use at some level today, or something.

BTW, the roll the BH fills for the USMC team -- what do they use in real life?

I would think that they used the Navy's version aka SeaHawks. Or Hueys... but thats another matter
