Civilian prison

I thought this had a high chance of being suggested already, but I've searched and only POW camps for enemy soldiers came up.

Basically what I think that it would be nice if, instead of simply "dying" when knifed, the Civilians should spawn on some kind of prison and one ore more of these possibilites, taking engine limitations into account:

-Wait 1 to 2 minutes until their cell door opens or, if that's not possible, they can't move until 1 or 2 minutes have passed, and then they can open the cell door on their own.

and/or

-Insurgents infiltrate or assault prison and free the civilians.

If that's possible it would look more realistic, since at the moment it looks like we are really killing civilians, but by knifing instead of shooting. Don't you think?

Maybe they'd spawn insurgent with an AK and shoot the place up?

They can just suicide, although a longer spawn time, he'd be getting back into the fight faster than 1 or 2 minutes in the prison.

how about when he suicides he gets a longer sentance on the holdong cell.

Our armed forces aren't killing civs. these days,civs. just walk in the middle of firefights all the time...And I'm refering to real life,as I think you were when you said,we're killing ivs. today?

This sounds pretty hard to code, maybe even impossible.

I don't know much about coding though.

No I'm talking about the game ;) . In PR you use the knife to "arrest" the civilian, but actually it looks more like a death, so that's why I thought this would be a good idea.

I forgot about the suicide thing though... You could make it so the spawn time for suiciding in prison would be actually than staying and waiting in prison.

There is already that long spawn time for being arrested.
And maybe during future releases they will make a different tool (zip ties maybe??) to arrest the civilian with, I'm pretty sure the knife is a temporary solution.

I don't really think this is worth the trouble.

It's pretty easy to understand, don't strain yourself ;)

It changes that part because it has a somewhat logical conclusion to the scenario. The player thinks, oh, I got killed -- then gets put into a prison and might think -- oh, I got arrested. It doesn't change getting knifed, but it changes the result of getting knifed.

Regarding the idea, I think it's a little too complex for PR and will be open to a lot of exploitation. The community should keep thinking about this though... I'm sure we'll find a really cool solution.
