Marker dot issue...misconception

Ok so before I could respond the post concerning the issue was closed. I was having issues missing headshots at long range with the M16. I read a post from a guy on here that said the M16 is sited in on the upper left side of the post...I couldn't tell where exactly he meant and since I can't site my own rifle in I had need to check. So I put a dry eraser marker dot on my screen. It is true...the M16 is sited in...slightly above the left side of the post but still within the post. I played a round of Al Jabar to figure it out and that was that...
I don't appreciate all of the insta-redicule(sp?) without even asked me about it. If you have a problem with me and want to declare ban etc, PM me like an adult and address the issue at hand.
Anyone who knows me or plays with me will attest that I play the game to the fullest extent of the spirit of PR, I'm a teamplayer, I don't exploit, I teach the noobs and am nice to them, I SL and work on being a good commander. I feel like I'm a decent voice of reason from time to time on the forums...I dont flame people or fastropz noobs and I work on putting together decent, helpful ideas. This was nothing, pointless and trivial...If was trying to be a cheater I sure as hell wouldn't go posting it on the public-dev forum would I? I'm 26 working professional, not some CS idiot...and I hate cheaters.
I understand you guys' quick attack being that you want to protect the game as much as possible, but I'm on here nearly every day and would have hoped to have been givin the benifit of the doubt for at least 20 minutes until I could drop in a reply...send me a PM if you have an issue and then flame me publically

The aim point for all weapons is almost the same, anyways. I think using the M16 as a base reference, every weapon but the Chinese assault rifle has to be fired about a quarter-inch below the M16's aiming point on the front sight posts. The Chinese assault rifle is to the left slightly less then a quarter-inch, and up about the same.
With the natural variance of weapons fire, it's not really necessary to adjust at any range that you'd hip fire anyways. Once you've got the spot on your monitor memorized, you can just spray away and get kills by volume of fire, or adjusting it like a tracer. You still need your iron sights or scope for long ranges, but i've been killed and watched enough people to kill to know that most people either know where the aim point is off-hip, or have a manual method on their monitors for close-in combat.
Not a new phenomenon. I've heard of both methods before way back in the day of Call of Duty 1 with it's 'realism' modifications. CoD actually having crosshairs you could practice with in SP or a non-realism MP mod so you could memorize or mark your aim point.

You said: "I've put a red dot on my screen(marker) when fighting with the M16 and it helps"
However you put it, you admitted that you are cheating AND that it gave you an advantage - however small that advantage could be.
Plus, posting a picture of your screen proves nothing.
Nothing tels me you are not using another monitor to play
Nothing tels me you aren't using some ink that can be removed easily
After your line I quote, I just can't trust your word. Teh ban you deserve.
As I say to all hacking-noobs who "try something out" (just think of the guy last week who got banned because he didn't know it was cheating), think a little before doing something! Think people. Think!
Just like with rules in real life - not knowing them is not an excuse. Just doing it a little to see is not acceptable. Teh ban you deserve, period.
Anyway, IBTL.

Thats fine geogob, I can see your perspective...theres no reason for you to believe me. I was mearly giving my point of view. I wasn't testing out a hack to see what hacking was like, I was attempting to figure out where the M16 was sited in at. Its a big problem when using the gun...its accurate but you don't know where at on the post to fire from when zoomed in. Its not like I can use singleplayer to figure things out...
Oh and that
is my gaming kickass-23inch widescreen from costco 300$ 5ms Monitor. I work from home mostly, business expense

It's true, ALL weapons in BF2 don't have their iron sights exactly in the middle. DICE just coulnd't get them there. The MR444 is the worst one, the M16 is one of the least ones. I'll try to find the topic.
Edit:

BTW, even BF2's crosshair (when unzoomed) isn't exactly in the middle...

He admitted he did it for testing and he knows not to do that in game now.

Very cool, thats a good reference...IMO there isn't a problem with any of the other guns as they dont zoom. The M16 zoomed though...from one side of the post to the other is like a foot or two at 200+ yds BIG difference when you have to have the head shot on the G3 'ers.
BTW...look at that M36 on there...its unlock tier 2>support...terrible. Its sited in way below and to the right of the post. Also seems like the PLA sniper in PR is off...I've put headshots on guys many times <600 yds and still they wont drop? Its weird, maybe its just me.

Same. If you got a dot ON SCREEN, then why don't I see it on the picture?

So if we all do this, put a mark on the center of the screen, then we can consider it a ghetto work around for EA's mistake in not centering the sights.
But until everyone has one, the people who are using them have an unfair advantage.
Somebody did PB SS to show how far off the sights were and I started to adjust and was much better with the SVD but could never remember the exact amount needed on the other weapons.
I'd like to think that after thousands of hours of staring at this screen I would instinctively know where the center is but I'm not sure.

HOLY COW...dude, in my post I said it was a DRY ERASER MARKER of course I wipped it off. I work on the thing 24/7 and dont want that **** on there, I don't play PR with it...I'm done convincing, I said that I did it for a round on Al Jabar for the explained reasons, I'm not ashamed for that. It was a valid reason and I needed to know where my M16 was sited at. If I had to go play another mod with slightly off-sites, I would do that same thing for 1 round to figure it out and wipe the damn thing off. Go ahead and believe that I am the uber-m@xor-haxor.
btw you said you wouldn't believe me unless you saw a monitor pic...well? I even qouted you in my picture

lol you ****** I wipped it off...why would I put it back on there? Weren't you leaving PR because Mongol hurt your feelings? And yes I do want your BF2 key and Xpacks as per your previous posts.
BTW at long range, its a big deal man...you better know where its at or you will miss.

Oh sure, so you can get the cyber red dot and don't have to use the marker, since the program will do it for you.
GTFO...*adds VipersGhost to ignore list*

Outlawz, chill the f*ck out. You seem to be in a real crappy mood today and I suggest you take a chill pill or three and wait till tomorrow to return.
