i tried and did not find a thread about this so dont flame-grill my *** if u find one :P

it has become apparant that the USMC get shot to hell while on Hamonyang because of one simple thing: the PLA have scoped rifles. This means they can pick off USMC guys at a fair range before the US can engage them with there own (i know about sniper & marksmen kits, but it still isnt enough).

i can only think of two solutions to this:

1. Develop an ACOG sight for the US M16 rifle
or
2. return the British to Hamonyang

i have found that the latter is most favoured and is less time consuming, what do u think? discuss

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU AS A TESTER!!!!!!

M16A4 w/ ACOG will be in 0.7.
Meanwhile, US rifleman already has 4x zoom on ironsights as placeholder.
US will stay on the map as the mapper wants it so.

ACOG will be in v0.7...

until then, deal with it lol

there are some changes on the way to help USMC out on Hamgyong, mainly a healthy injection of tickets :)

my main tip for hamgyong: get a good commander and make sure he rains down arty as much as he can (every 25 seconds)

I think all we need is some CP changes, right now is almost impossible to place a rally point on it, maybe, open a little more the combat area

Played the .6 version as a Marine last night, and after what seemed a good first ten seconds of spraying my M-249 over the bunkers (just like I should) things sort of went downhill.

I realize Hamyong's current incarnation is a twisted sadistic demon-child, and am taking steps to correct this. More tickets shall be added for the USMC (I'm hoping for 900 or so, as the Marine offensive is fresh and the fortress of paramount strategic importance. Also the Marines need more time under the bleed and China should know every inch lost cannot be recovered) and additionally many new machine guns on the front line will be removed; presently the volume of fire is insurmountable without competition-level coordination.

That said, I still urge you to play the map and provide feedback. Which machine guns on that ridge and elsewhere are the most lethal? What route is best to approach from? How can stationary guns be shifted to change the attack plan?

In other news I am continuing work as a developer after getting a Real Life. I'm now in an engagement with an adversary even more tenacious than the Radio machine-gun nests; a Scots-Irish fiance. Wish me luck in both endevours.

M16 has the same zoom as the PLA, why can't you hit with it the same? Because at longer ranges you can't pull off the headshots they can. The M16 is sited in to the upper left side of the site blade...put those fat PLA helmets right there and you'll see your kills go up.

this is the 3rd time in as many days people have asked for ACOG or some other optics, as a tester I thought you would know better.

US weapons.

Recoil for M16?
