Novel(IMO) Sniper <--> Spotter Idea

Before anyone asks, I have searched the previously suggestion forum to see if this idea has been already suggested and found no directly similar proposals.
What my idea consists of is a dedicated spotter kit which works in tandem with the team's snipers. The difference in my suggestion is that, on top of all of the current conditions in place, the spotter kit must already been issued and in the hands of a squad mate for the player to be able to request the sniper kit. Therefore there will be no lone wolf snipers except for those who have stolen the other team's sniper kit, people who have picked up the map specific sniper rifles and snipers who have lost their spotter. The spotter's most important jobs would be to protect the sniper from close infantry attacks along with spotting and ranging targets for the sniper to engage.
The spotter would have the same or similar attire as the sniper himself thus enabling him to remain hidden alongside the sniper. He would be issued an assault rife of some description, a knife, smoke grenades, frag grenades, field dressings, sighting/range finding equipment and possibly a clacker detonated claymore mine or two. The sighting/range finding equipment could consist of a card with known bullet drop values for different ranges along with approximate bullet flight times written on it, a SOFLAM like range-finder pair of binoculars and a tripod mounted spotter scope.
The sniper on the other hand could lose the frag grenades, smoke grenades and possibly the binoculars and pistol since all the tasks associated with that equipment would now allocated to the spotter. This would place more importance on the spotter as the protector of the sniper and ensures that the two resort to teamwork in order to survive.
As implied this system would enhance teamwork, effectiveness, fun and realism which is everything in a nutshell that this mod strives for and therefore should be give due consideration. ie DEV input
