Crewman Kit AR

Needs to be a PDW instead of an M16, G3, or any other RIFLE for that matter
What do tank crews use IRL?
M4 Compact carbine
Hk MP7/FN P90
L85 Carbine

I'm talking less accuracy and less firepower
Sure, its nice to have a weapon in combat, but the idea of driving an APC up to an enemy base and popping out with a full range battle rifle and picking off the enemy from 300 yards is a little far fetched.
You're supposed to stay INSIDE your vehicle, the PDW is only for when your vehicle is immobilized/destryoed and you have to get out and fight. blah blah de blah...

In GD we had a guy how was an engineer and used to drive trucks. He was equipped with M4 IIRC. I could ask him again.

lol. but hey, needs to be done.
How the hell are you and the other 4 members of your tank crew supposed to fit each of your full length assault rifles plus magazines inside, along with all your water and equipment?

low priority.

how many times does the crewman actually use his weapon?

obviously AR is just a placeholder but it does not affect gameplay signifigantly.

there are plans to eventually swap out to more appropriate weapons

challenger 2 crewmen have the L85A2, so if the space is there its not that unrealistic for crewmen to have proper assault rifles.

but i believe the carbines are on the way for the crewman kit

Pasfreak, please use search. This has been suggested many times before, and we have already stated that the rifles are placeholders until we get the right models.
