New operation Realty Game Server Number 1 number 2/3 should be up in the near future with the same specs
Current server specs:
Server IP: 88.159.89.108
100 mbit fiber optic connection
BF2cc Daemon
Intel 64-bit CPUs @ 3.6 GHz
4 GB RAM
Here at Operation Reality we like to take the battles into a whole new direction. Whereas normally the objectives in the battlefield are about flags, ORT focuces on a variety of objectives. We like to try out something completely new, use parts of the map that is usually unused and strech the whole Project Reality experience to the maximum.
The players have a change to influence on the scenarios so if you have a good idea, we will be sure to take that into account.
For example our last battle in Al Basrah was split into 3 parts. The objectives for the insurgents were:
EAC
PHASE 1: EAC are to hold the two Nato helicopter prisoners in a secret location in the city, separately or together. You can change their location as well if you need to evade an incomming Nato search party but you must remain somewhere within the main city. After 30 mins have passed you are to send a warning to the Nato HQ that you will execute the first pilot if they do not pull the troops out now. If the response is not adequate (chances are it won't), then proceed to execute the first pilot. Tell them in another 30 mins you will kill the 2nd pilot as well. If Nato has not managed to free either one of them within 1 hour, then EAC scores a 1 point (ie. 1 - 0).
Remember before insurgents are allowed to execute any pilots, it has to have been at least 35 mins after Nato forces have dispatched their first search and rescue party towards the city.
PHASE 2: The insurgents are to capture the North VCP and defend it from Nato forces, if its lost you are to recapture it, and use any kind of tactics you may come up with " RPG's,VBIED's,PKM's,Moltovs and the threat of an IED on the roads" etc. You'll have 45 mins to do this but remember that nato have their own missions during this as well. So you will need to be vigilant and keep an eye on what they're doing and counter them where needed. You must remember to keep an eye on your key ammo dumps as they will surely try to destroy them at some point during phase 2.
PHASE 3 The Insurgents special forces, will be bodyguards for the Warlord, the warlord will be a civilian, and is to be defended by a team of bodyguards, if the warlord is executed/killed the game is over for EAC. The insurgents will have to protect this warlord for about 1 hr keeping him safe and hidden and not let him die at the hands of Nato hunter force sent to kill him.
Rules to note:
-The captured pilots must be held/hidden somewhere inside the main city
-On the other hand you are free to do and use any area of the map you see fit to hide and protect your warlord
-During PHASE 1 EAC can only use 2 civilian kits to simulate the 2 downed pilots.
-During PHASE 2 EAC are not allowed ANY civilian kits.
-During PHASE 3 EAC are allowed 1 civilian kit to simulate the "warlord".
