Transportation, Dirtbike and ATV tweaks

Ok with all the talk about transport on large maps such as kashan i thought this would be nice to have implemented correctly.

First off the dirtbike.
The dirt bike to me(Avid motocrosser :-P ) looks like an XR400 or an XR600(were used by the SAS in the Gulf and are still used by the British military) which is a fourstroke and sounds alot different to the current sound of the bike (sounds minor but here me out) a fourstroke is very loud bass noise that can be heard from far distances with ease, this is what one sounds like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoPPF6oFMrM

Cant find any pics of the SAS/British Military ones their just desert coloured.
Also the speed of the current Dirtbike is daft it reaches top speed in about 1 second and the top speed is mad an XR400 tops out at around 80mph but for gameplay sakes should be just abit faster than the HMMWV or the Landy.

The ATV,
ATV's IRL especially Military ones will not go any ware as near as fast as the current one it should be the same speed as the HMMWV and handle like it.

Finally Large desert maps,
Large desert maps such as Kashan and Al Oilfields should have about 4 dirtbikes at the main base this would be ideal for H-AT,Recon,Snipers or forward observers. The whole British military use Dirtbikes/ATVs in Iraq and in Afghanistan and they are very useful and should be implemented propperly. Their should be atleast 5 HMMWV's or Cars at a Mainbase for 64 player maps.

I know these aint vitally important, but it would help a whole lot to the gameplay side of things. Would like to hear from a DEV on this. ;)

Bikes are useless anyway.. They shake so bad that you cant see where your driving so ytou end up hitting something and blowing up.

Exactly. This thread aims to stop that so that they become more useful assets.

As such, this has my full support. I for one don't remember my quad bike exploding when I drove it over rough terrain. Though it did get nicked :(

I always end up hitting something on my jihad dirtbike runs.
They are too hard to control

True.
The last time I've tried to use the bike for jihad, I've actualy missed the APC, so I had to reverse and park it next to it (yep, it was seat switcher in it :D ) and blow it up, so it wasn't a jihad at all ;-) .

I think they were better in .5 but I'm not sure.

You're telling me! Jihad runs in the bike are extremely difficult for me...

1) I am based in NA
2) Basrah servers are typically in Europa
3) I cannot run PR without stuttering because I only have one gig of RAM
4) My internet connection isn't that great to begin with

So, I'll be speeding along the road on my bike, and the enemy APC will be in sight... I'll get closer and closer and when I get about 20-30m from it, my game will freeze up for 2-3 seconds and I'll end up passing the APC. And that's if I'm lucky and don't crash into something on my way there!

@Bob- Yeh i had a CRF stolen :sad: cant have anything nice nowadays.

I really think this would be a mint tweak for PR please make it happen :-)
