Now Im sure this has been discussed before but for the life of me I cant find any posts. Can anybody point me to the post where the choice of giving grenadiers flashbangs is explained? Thanks.

I'd like to know why too -- I used them for the first time effectively on Qwai, throwing one as USMC into the PLA held mine -- however nobody used that opportunity worth jack.

I mean, I can understand that they wouldn't give it to SF (although in my mind thats where they belong) because they try to play down the SF class as a vanilla noob class. But I cant understand why the grenadier class would get them....dont they have enough things that go boom to throw/shoot at people.

The real question is, can you flash someone in a vehicle.

Of course. The police bust people all the time for that.

I think was for the insurgents and I would guess the grenadier got them so it wouldn't be just the officer that had them.

I've never used one effectively and the only times I have been blinded by one it was thrown by a teammate who was " testing it out".

For the first few days of .6 I had an instant linkage between being flashed by a teammate and hitting the ESC key.

But lately it has been very rare that I see them used.

I actually find the flashes quite useful when clearing out an area with a lot of buildings possibly occupied. It is, however, strange that the grenadier has them, but in a way it makes sense because that is a grenade...

Officer also gets them.

Well, youre able to do it in vBF2, so i would assume it would be the same in PR.

Flashbangs are really odd in vBF2/PR, one time I threw a flashbang right at my feet in PR and I was flashed for about 2 seconds. Then I threw one a little farther and I was flashed for about 10 seconds. Odd...

The first one blinded you so badly you came back around again.

Haha yea thats what I meant. I tried it the other day but I was stuck in an alley and died anyway.
