I think it would be tits to replace some of the smaller boats in the carriers belly with one or two of these

Yes, but marines don't use those (Zodiac boats) in beach assaults unless they're the guys who set up the beacons several hours before the assault

Just FYI, the AAAV is now called the "Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle."
Last I heard it was slated to begin low-rate initial production in 2007/2008, but if any procurement went on schedule, it wouldn't be the Department of Defense.
It will most likely not be in PR because we may not always be keeping the BF2 timeline and backstory throughout the mod.
The AAVP7A1 though we would like to include; there are a ton of references floating around, both internal and external. If included, we would like to get it to function as a "seatless" passenger compartment, with troops being able to pile in and close the ramp.
It's like a clown car, isn't it?

Looks like a training op, and it's a M249 PIP. They're not used in actual fighting by the US forces I don't think, well not by ground based units, airbourne (hense the erm... para thing) is likely but I'm not too sure.
I've been doing some reading up on the "Advanced" version, and by all reports they're pretty ****, even compared to the AAV7A1 they're meant to replace. They're very fuel thirsty, make a lot more noise, make a huge ammount of water wake, cost a shit load, can't carry as much, the armour isn't all that great, unreliable engines... it goes on. The Marines want to stick with the AAV7A1 and LAV-25 for amphibious armoured assaults because they're proven to work and the AAAV just doesn't give them much of an increase in any of the area's they want it.
Go with the AAV7A1 over the AAAV, it's much more likely to be in service for a long time yet.

i would like to see both
as far as the new one i think its premature to pass judgement, i dont see what noise matters as if youve heard the current one its not exactly silent running, the big thing they wanted in the EFV was speed, the LAV-25 an AAV7, are prety slow in the water and a easy targets while trying to get to the beach

Well, noise and vibration aren't too good for the fragile squishy things that ride inside them called humans. That's one of the complaints the troops had about them, not all that pleasent being deafened by the things and shook around.

id take noisy and vibrating if it means itll get me ashore quicker and out of the steel coffin
