Impossible to get hits to count

This has never happened to me before this version but every time it does happen I get infuriated. At first I didn't think much of it but it would happen every round mulitple times, often screwing me. I would shoot a guy multiple times in the chest, back, head or wherever, see the blood to confirm the hit but the hits would not count.

The final straws were at seven gates where I shot a guy who was standing still from about 5-10m away twice in his well exposed back, watched the blood spurts, then watched him turn around and kill me and go back to sniping.

The absolute worst case came the round afterwards in that huge desert level(can't bring the name to mind) towards the end of the round while my team(MEC) captured the U.S. outpost. A humvee rolled in and I sneaked up on the lone ******* inside as he maneuvered to get into a good spot to shoot his deuce. I got behind and waited with my liberated M14 and as soon as the ******* popped his head up to shoot I shot no less than four shots directly into the back of his head. That's right, four fucking shots, each with their own fucking blood spurts, and do you know what happens? That's right, nothing except the ******* turns around and lights me up. His bullets somehow hit me though. That's not the end of it though, I spawned again, pretty pissed off about what just happened and was determined to kill the ******* so again, I sneaked up behind with my g3 and pop the guy another three or four times in the back and head. Same thing, blood spurts, he lives, he turns around and unloads. Thankfully I expected this so I ran back to cover as soon as he opened up on me and only after he ran out and shot me with his m16 did I kill him with a full auto burst.

Any idea what the issue is? It can't be lag or kill boxes since the worst cases happened with people who were standing still. I'm stumped and frustrated to bat. Please someone, help me out here.

Ive experienced the .50 cal invulnerability bug in 0.5
And also shot a guy 10 times and he didnt die...ping I guess?

Well logical that no one is responding. This is a typical bf2 engine problem that no one has been able to solve for all those years. Blood= not where hit is detected, period.

Well, it's never been this bad for me since .6. The biggest issue usually is lag and hit boxes when there are blood spurts but no hits, this however couldn't have been either since the hits were on still targets. It could be the BF2 engine but I never had it quite this bad.

lol, just jinx myself, after the previous post, last night on -=TB=- City, i was 'bout 5~8m from enemy, I opened fire 1st, got him with 3 bullets (from G3!!?!!) he just keep walkin' and lookin' he is shootin...during that time I got him 2 more times, then he finally realize where I'm I (3m to NW of him :) ) he stoped!!! I got him 2 more times from the IRION SIGHT ... and U all now the outcome...

Im wondering if the .50 cal immortality bug is PR's or BF2's, cos Ive only seen it in PR
Last time it happened, I had luck, because the guy was a nub SF and jumped out of the Humvee, when I shot him in the head on Ejod...

I have similar problems in 0.6
Headshots are not registering, more then 6 shots to body while shooting at static targets..
I had no similar problems in 0.4, 0.5 or vBF2

This sounds exactly like the problem in vanilla with the dust coming off when shot with out any hit reg. except with the dust being replaced by blood. I also find that top gunners in any vehicle, whether they are moving or not, are particularly immune to bullets in the head. One time in 'Nam (some nilla map probs) I shot a guy, who was in a 50 cal on a tank, in the head like 4 times then just got bored and fought something else. It could be key packets being lost I spose.

The immortality bug occured in vBF2 1.3 many times
