Might-be workaround for "insta-headshotting"

Alright, I thought a bit on how to make supression fire more effective, and one of the greatest problems here is that the enemy can just pop up,aim in the general direction of you, duck down,zoom in,then pop up again and headshot you.
Sometimes they don't even need to come up twice.

So,my approach to reduce this problem looks like this:

Whenever you go into ironsights/scope mode, your aim would move some centimetres into a random direction. So you would have to readjust you aim after zooming in, thus simulating the time needed to receive greater accuracy if you aim at something for longer time, as in real life.

Might be that this has been suggested before,but a quick scan of the already suggested ones and a search(although I honestly don't know which keywords would be appropriate) didn't come up with anything.

I also realise that this could simply be hardcoded,but well....can't blame a man for trying,eh? :p

Are we sure there isn't a possibility through animation? As in the animation of aiming causes some initial scope bobble?

how about just make most rifle zooms as slow as the SAW?

I'd like to agree but I think it'd make split second shootouts between people a little too difficult. It'd be a pain in the arse if some guy was about to nail you and was too far away to go without your scope and you couldn't get to your sights quick enough.

Would be great to get an aim adjust when you go into iron sights. +1 for that.

I know i've heard that they can't make the rest of the weapons like the SAW for some stupid, engine related reason though. Otherwise i'm sure they would have done it longgggg ago.

Goes against reality that!

A walking british army infantryman with a scoped l85a2, upon recognising an enemy within 100m he can shoot at, can stop, raise rifle, aim and squeeze the trigger in one second (then dives to the ground) That first shot is a decent shot and has a fair chance of hitting the enemy.

The aiming system with the rifle is such that a single reticule in the scope is faster to put on the enemy than managing the ironsights rear and foresights. To say that using ironsights gives you an aiming bonus is completely backwards.

Soldiers tend to practise with their rifle, sticking it in their shoulder, over and over, taking it round everywhere with them. Then they go to the ranges and sight in the scope, moving it around on the rail to suit their comfortable aiming position/shoulder placement. Then from then on instinct puts the rifle in the correct place and that reticule appears in front of your eye like magic, very, very fast! faster than ironsights!

but I dont get it:
for the first, has nobody noticed that when you go from crouch to prone, the 2d weapon image wobbles slightly around for like half a second?
so if thats implented you might be able to increase this wobble, lengthen the effect or so.
sure, it wouldnt be a real sway since your aim isnt affected.. but you atleast have no indication where you aim ( well, besides those who stick a dot onto their screen)
I mean the least weapons have 3d sights so dunno maybe it would work around this way?

Yeah when you go from prone to standing while scoped it wobbles too. I wish moving in/out of prone would remove you from scoped view.
