this is how to fix the bf2 voip issues some people are haveing with
1. first go to run and type in dxdiag
2. go to the sound tab
3.go to hardware sound arcelleration level and put that on BASIC !!!!
4. try your mic out on bf2 and pr.
5. if it dosnt work check the conections mute button pluged in right ect.

i've been through every fix i can find and listed them all here for vista and xp. but that seems to be the most common response and the one that's frequently reported as working. shame it doesn't work in vista :/

Yeah I know what you mean, I haven't had much luck with Vista either. :/

If you're getting problems with VOIP and use TS, I'd check your TS settings. I've been getting problems only after I installed Teamspeak. I checked the TS settings and switched the default playback and recording devices from their default of "Default Device" specifically to my soundcard (SB X-F Audio).

Seems to have stopped the automatic muting I was getting in VOIP whenever I joined a squad.
